  • Tell me... How big is a "Wagnerian sized orchestra"? is it more or less than a full orchestra?

  • Orchestra's have elvolved over the centuries. Today's full orchestra has most likely been influenced by composers such a Wagner - is score to Das Rhinegold calls for no fewer than 6 harps (most orchestras have 1 or 2)- So, his music would certainly have influenced the size of the orchestra needed. A full orchestra is normally somewhere around 100 players.
