I owned one of those Dodges in 1974-5, when I was 20 yrs old. Used it to go scrapping in. I made a crank to fit in the socket on the damper, and would start the truck with it to show off.
Dodge made flatheads 'till '59, so they'd start with a crank. Mine was a 1947 COE, and once belonged to Reuben & Van Dyke in Chicago (hauled for Marshall Fields). It turned heads back then, so I'll bet it would now!
