CDJ-800s are only betwen the 600-700 price range new, and around 300-500 used depending on how worn they are, you must be talking about the CDJ-1000 mkIII because they are normally between 900-1200 per unit..

MADGTR i suggest giving them both a shot, alot of us have different taste, alot of DJs prefers CDJs when scratching and others like vinyls, it just really deppends on which sound quality you like..cdjs sounds better due to it being digital(compact disc Vs. vynil scratch) so try both and see which you like best although cdj 800s are one of the best in the market, good luck!

it's ok ... ain't the same. platter is to heavy and u can't control it like u can with an actual record. you can do more paterns with vinyl and you feel it more as well.
