The anime was good, and I'm a fan of the manga so there must be something wrong with me right? Nah I've seen a lot of people bitch that the anime is shit and the manga is god and all that.  Yes the anime goes in a different direction then the manga, and the manga feels more finished because it did finish the story. But I really do enjoy the anime and I enjoy the goofy dub :>

@aureusyarara Yes. The manga was far superior, a lot was cut from the anime, maybe because the manga wasn't finished at the time, or they wanted it to not be as dark? A lot of violence was cut for one. The manga happens to be my all time favorite manga of all time.

Lulz. I actually prefer the dub, just cause I saw it dubbed first. I'm generally a 'whatever I see first, I stick with,' kinda gal. Even if I actually prefer subs over dubs. I've heard the Japanese voices, though, and I think the dub actually did better with Nataku than the Japanese voice actor, just because of the robotic kinda thing they gave him.

I have a friend who is definitely not into anime, but even he likes this series. Especially Nataku!

Nah, it's a type of rod. Think it was called Whip of the Gods or something. Launches an energy ball of pretty up there power, and it could also be used to block. I liked this anime, it was a bit goofy for its genre, but it was good.

From what I seen in this anime, one of the characters named Nataku is based off of a chinese legend called Gods of Honor. It's about a boy who was magically born out of his mother's stomach as a three year old. He suffers tragic incidents like his parents splitting up, his father gets possessed by a demon, he gets dumped in the mountain by his father and grows up as a delinquent, he does evil deeds with his two friends, then dies to become a restless soul, then reborn again to redeem himself.
