there are times when the "all units" command is useful but it is not the main one you should be using in this mission or any other one. the "local units" should be used more for micromanaging and even multi-flanking the enemy

when he does that you might want to try moving to the other tower, the glitch works for a while, but eventually he " blanks" the tower to erase the glitch so he can't aim at the tower anymore, forcing him to attack base, so try putting your troops on the tower in the beams way when he does this mabye?

No, that doesn't work. The scarab is programmed to attack the nearest enemy. If you put the men in the other tower. You wouldn't be able to get close enough to attack it before it starts to target you.

well only a dumbass would rush straight to it, you have to evade it by hiding behind the ruins and waiting till its beam is away. However you can rush as i quote "...but eventually he "blanks" the tower...forcing him to attack the base", this s what happens and because of this he ignores you, i have tried this you know andi know it works, however if he stops attacking your base, and starts focusing again you just evade.

Much easier strategy: at the beginning mac blast the scarab twice, upgrade the reactor and the cobra, build 2-3 supply pads, and then as many cobras as you can. Use the tank and rhinos to carefully go around and destroy the nodes and/or locusts. Mac blast when you can the scarab. upgrade the pads and when all your cobras are built and fully upgraded send all your units at the scarab and lock your cobras in and it will kill him, add more cobras during the attack to keep the pressure.

Tip: When you take out all power cores to make scarab slower, get 2 squads; 1 on the far right of the scarab and the other 1 on the far left. By the time it takes for the scarab to kill one squad on 1 side, you'll already have another army set up to replace that lost 1.

I really like Serina and the joke about the Super Scarab being half dead or half alive was pretty funny.^^

As for completing the mission, i rushed each power node and then the Super Scarab itself.

Another good tactic is to force the Super Scarab to fire away from your base or your units out on the field, i recommend the use of Warthogs for this!
