Mr..James played a major role in my life as a blues guitarist. I take him everywhere I go, as one of my points of reference. He was the reason I liked Duane Allman so much and why I finally took up slide at an early age.

Elmore.......he left a fine lineage that if given enough time and effort can be seen here in Chicago.....of course not the same but you can hunt down folks on the west and south side who played with Elmore and are still playing today.
