What i mean is by sound. They both sound the same and I have VERY VERY good hearing. I can pick up frequencies that most people can't. I also have perfect pitch. So, if both motors are revving at the same time, and this is recorded in mono, then I cannot tell which sound is coming from which motor.

i can easily tell that the quieter humming is the new one and the deeper oil-gurgling sound is the older.
