....... Lake of fire written by.... Guess what????? The same band... Nirvana unplugged was basically Kurt reliving jam nights with friends... He took inspirations of his.. I.E. Bowie stuff and unknown songs by less than known bands or his friends... I think that about a girl, Polly, dumb came out great but for a 14 song set, only 8 being original, YET covers becoming hit tracks, unknowns thought of as nirvana

@hellslostraven I'll tell you the one thing Kurt Cobain had that the Meat Puppets don't: a lame untimely death.

And his "Lake Of Fire" was missing all the humor and irony, he sounded agonized. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for the dude, but he couldn't take it, he didn't have the backbone. The Pupps are the real item.

He barely played the jagstand, it rarely saw live shows and I think it was used on maybe one recording.

I wouldn't say he "invented" the design. He cut a picture of a Jaguar in half and pasted it onto the other half of a Mustang and told Fender, make this.

he did design the guitar which was obviosly a combination of his two favorites th mustang and jaguar but he did not like the prototype very much. he rarely played it live and hardly by himself. He forgot to tell fender to contour the shape which gave it a feel he did not care for. The first and only prototype Kurt actually played is now in the ownership of Peter Buck,guitarist for R.E.M.. He only got the sonic blue a few months before his death so he didn't have enough time to establish it well
