Girls, girls... it's not that big a deal whether it's choked, chunked, muted or rung. If you want the original sound just listen to the recording and don't bother playing guitar. Everyone wants the studio sound. Even Bob Seger just belted it out live without worrying about choking, chocolate chunks or whatever the fuqq. If you listen to the original recording, the backbeats are not muted as shown here; rather, they are choked and the open G (capo'd at fret 1) is allowed to ring. It's actually tougher to play.
