  • i wanna ask you something, i have to buy new internal hard disk through which i have to attach my old 1 hard disk also so i only have 2 SATA connectors, and 1 connector is of hard disk and other one is connected to CD - ROM, how do i connected my new internal hard disk please help meeee?????

  • I download movies... Porn movies!!!!

  • you can use norton gaost to copey the hard drive

  • HITACHI DEATHSTAR!

  • How do you format a used hard drive? :o

  • my bro ran through 12TB of space within a month lol

  • THESE p0rnonies killin me lolol

  • Oh my god. By some cable ties.

  • No point in buying a new HDD for a while, prices have gone up

  • I got a 1 TB Seagate retail SATA HD (7200 rpm) for 66$. I grabbed it because I'll be doing a rebuild of my box (old socket 939 mobo in there with a 160GB drive, replacing it with phenom ii x4) and I figured I better get it because HD prices are going through the roof (floods in Thailand).

  • Uh yeah... Pictures and movies. Nothing weird.

  • is 2 TB good? i'm new at builds so a honest reply would be nice

  • @Amanofwords1 2 Terabytes is a crapload of memory, in regular use, it's more than you'll ever need.

  • @muninen thanks man hahahaa and also i got this part to and idk if it just burns cd's or if it burns and playscd's too i know i'm such a noobbb but i really want to make sure if t works it'll suck if i pop in a game and it won't read here is the prodct i am going to order

    Asus 24x DVD±RW Drive DVD-RAM/±R/±RW 24x 8x 16x (DVD) 48x 32x 48x (CD) Serial ATA Internal OEM DRW-24B1ST (Black)

  • @Amanofwords1 Yeah, does both.

  • @muninen Thanks and sorry for being such a nooooooobbbbb!!!!!!!!!!! lololololololl

  • @muninen really? I would say it was a crapload of storage xD

  • @1337trolol Your username makes that comment so much better.

  • @muninen I know right xD

  • @Amanofwords1 2 terabytes? wtf? 500gb is all you need. 1 porn movie is like 300mb and HD migth reach 1gb thats like 1500 porn movies or 500 HD porn movies. 2tb is like 6000 porn movies, if you download 1 porn movie a day it will last you 16 years without needing to delete anything.

  • @Silverjda

    Who downloads pr0n?

  • @Silverjda I just ran out of space on my hardrive, programs and games no p0rn it has 500gb

  • ¯\(°_o)/¯ HOW I INSTALLED HARD DRIVE?

I have recovery disks, but I doubt that will work.... pls help!

  • hitachi deathstar

  • don't bang the hard drive. Be very careful.

  • Epic tv shop guy

  • i think if you are going to upgrade your hard drive, you need to upgrade your power supply too..that's what they say..is it true?

  • @kuyajhet:

No, hard drives use 1-5 watts of power, essentially nothing in the realm of computers.

  • @Nephilimator i have 300 watts power supply...is it ok if im going to install 1tb hard drive?...my motherboard have sata ports 1-6..

  • All your Digital Pictures, all my home movies....all that is porn on my harddrive ;) jk

  • can you install any type of hard drive into any pc?

  • @TheGamerOfLeauge it depends on what your motherboard can accept

  • 14 people plugged it in wrong..

  • thanks

  • installing hard drive in dvd drive with brackets ;)

    /watch?v=kUP3oe1pAWE

  • lol

  • That does sound pretty easy. I've never done it before, but now I'm feeling pretty confident about doing it.

In the next couple weeks, I gotta go and get a new HDD because I'm running outta space, unfortunately.

  • 1tb is soo old.. you need to update this video for 3 tb at least man... and a new tower. nice vid but keep with the times..

  • @Oinyx vid is 2.5 yr old stupid lolololollo learn to read

  • @Oinyx do you put that much porn?

  • Real simple question - my hp pavillion freezes and BSOD. I replaced the hard drive. Also I'm making the old HD a secondary. I connected the data cables to the HD and motherboard. I connected the SATA power cable to the HD, but the other end is MOLEX. which I don't don't where to connect that to? Again power cable is one end SATA, one end MOLEX... since it is a secondary drive.. does the power cable need to be connected? Dumb question I know.. but I'm not that technical..

  • Hello there, I got the new Hard Drive my computer so I replaced the old one to the new one! But still have some problem. This is what it said after I did that

"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Please help if you have any idea about this!

  • If you are a video editor 1 tb is long not enough.

  • @UGAnimes as long as you got the correct wires it will work perfectly. it should be info in the specs about what wireing it requiers.

  • Do you need to have both the molex and sata because I only have one!

  • hi i got an acer desktop but i only got 80gb hard drive if i take my 80gb hard drive and install 1tb hard drive do i lost my windows and files?

  • @mranthonii1 yes, you need to re install windows to your new hard drive

  • I know how to install a harddrive, but somehow i just enjoy watching theese :P

  • remember when 80 gig would get the job done? Lol. Not now!!

  • ...if you have IDE drives, you must use a IDE cable.

  • see i have a new sata hard drive 300gigs but i also want to conect an older 160 drive with out sata, how do i conect it all if the wires are difernt

  • My hitachi deskstar died the other day. -_-

  • THANKEs

  • can you install this on different OS?i mean can you install it on vista or xp or etc.?is it compatible at all types of OS?

  • @kuyajhet Yes but Mac OS X wont work in there!

  • hey im on highest rated! :D

  • @petetheneedforspeed or was :/

  • how do you pop off the front panel? dont want to break my case

  • @jad3948 just get a craft knife and pop them out by going down the sides. It's that easy and the connectors just pop out and then back in when you put it on.

  • We don't need to know your Hitachi is reliable, just tell us how to install it.

  • actually 1 TB = 1024 GB but nvm

  • Thank you! I'm tired of paying to have this done.

  • WOW 1000GB WE CAN DOWNLOAD ANYTHING WE WANT ...

    DARN GOOD!

  • @VibrateZzz Yeah - this is nothing new rofl

  • did this. pluged in both cables, turned on computer. doesnt know there's even a drive there.

I hate when people say things are so easy, then you do what they say and it doesnt work.

  • if you don't know how to install a hard drive, call lego you total dipshit.

  • woohoo now me and my parents got the new hard drive in because of this vid

  • Do i need a fan specially dedicated to de H.D.?

  • @troshek If it gets too hot...Seagate says that it's good to keep them under 95 F. You can find the temperature by using some program , like Speccy or Speedfan (though I find Speedfan will often not work with HDDs).

  • anu cnu llbn.search me aljun lopez

  • sino gusto ng away ad me sa fb pra mkita nio aq...aljun lopez

  • Hes right is it extremely easy to install but most people would just buy a new $1000 PC with more memory instead of watching these videos

  • @thewarfare34

Because people got too many money:P

  • im guessing a terabyte is 1000 gigaytes

  • yet I would expect someone on youtube to yell out "Oh nos I connected my sata cable wrong!!!!!!!!!"

  • NOOOOOOOOO!!! you shold of used the orange SATA port.

    Logan will come for you!

  • i have one question my computer takes a ide hard drive but it also has a sata port one with the number 2 and the other with a number 3 so does it matter which one i use. and i have replaced and installed and removed ide hard drives but not sata yet so can you answer my question?

  • This guy's a fag. Logan was the best. Bring back Logan.

  • thanks a lot... nice tutorial... but jus one small doubt i have. can i upgrade to any amount of hard drive i mean in MB, GB or TB will my motherboard accept it? will it be compatible u know wat m saying? mine is a very basic motherboard but yeah it has two slots free still...

  • thats one piece of shti computer part from the hard drive i must admit

  • 1tb aint that much when you think about it lol

  • how do you know what hard drive to get :[?

  • im with ya right there. i neeeded the space for CF and Combatarms and Woderwarefare 2. now i got plenty of space and now i can use my 30 gb and my 160 gb hard drvies. THANK YOU SO MUCH TIGERDIRECT BLOG!

  • WHERE IS LOGAN DAMIT

  • only gamers need the 1tb! :D i just filled 200gb on a year so now i putted my bros old harddrive in mine so i got 200gb extra now! ^^

  • thats what she said!!!!!!! 1:52

  • i have 250 gb and about 185 is still left so i don't upgrade right now xD

  • I have a 250gb harddrive i got 190gb left i was wondering if you put more stuff on it does it slow it down more

  • @DevastatedX

    When it's almost full yes.

  • @DevastatedX well whe3n you run something on your computer, the hard drive has to go through everything on your computer to find the right files to run it. so it probably will slow it down unless you deefragment your hard drive (defragmenting is when the hard drive orgonizes all of the files so that it finds them easily, thus increasing the speed)

  • i need help my old harddrive broke so i bought another 1 but its overheating and the games are lagging plz help me !

  • oh bullshit! Hitachi sucks! after about a week it crashes and all i did was install windows and transfer a bit of data to test speed now i don't have that data!

  • Does the SATA cable come with the hard drive?

  • It's kind of annoying how you keep saying "this is easy." It's offensive to people trying to do it and can't. Teachers can say "this is easy" for every topic they cover in class since they know it so well. Most of the time, they don't say "this is easy" so they won't offend people who don't understand it.

Future reference: stop saying "this is easy" so many times. Or compensate by saying "it may be harder if your case is designed differently."

  • @scarykidbryan I think they say "it's easy" for you to not be afraid of doing it if you don't feel very confident.

  • @scarykidbryan

it is really easy. i dont know any tech or computer stuff. i tried putting a firewire in my dell desktop and its easy. just like what they show in this video. dont be afraid to do it. take care and good luck

  • just want to know i have 2 Harddrives and i want to put another OS on the other one so i can put it in my cousins computer can i do that and then afterwards put my old harddrive back?and will it still work as my OS?

  • Anyone know if it makes a difference which SATA connection (SATA 0 or SATA 1) is used on the MOBO for the primary boot drive? I just removed the second (data only) drive from my old Dell Dimension 8300 (which I installed a few years ago) and it now it would not boot up properly. I switched between the SATA connections on the MOBO before messing with the Bios (thinking it made no difference which one it was connected to) and now I can't remember which it was connected to before hand. Help!

  • and not all motherboards will support a 1tb hard drive-- u need too check

  • just a couple of pointers-- u may have to go into your bios settings to make sure your secondary sata port on the motherboard is open-- i had too do that and then go start-- run-- and type in diskmgmt.msc and partition and format the new hard drive-- hope this helps

  • ANTI-STATIC WRISTBAND!!

  • its nice to have though

  • 4:30 XD lol mumbling

  • if you are a gamer then u would understand the 1tb

  • @ken61496 agreed

  • @ken61496 or a movie maker then you would understand the 8 tb :)

  • @ken61496 Yeah i know! :)

  • @ken61496... A gamer doesnt give a shit about having a huge hard drive dude. A gamer is concerned about the performance of the hard drive. A GAMER would be running raid 0 with two or more low capacity, high performance drives.

A person who has a large collection of music and movies would understand the 1TB, not a gamer.

  • @MastaSquidge You replied to a 9 month old comment...

  • @gavinthegamerfreak So because it is 9 months old that means it is invalid now?

Doesn't work that way. My comment still applies, the beauty of things like this is that there is no need for immediate replies.

  • @ken61496 You dont need to be a gamer to know what 1tb is noob...

  • @ken61496 Or someone who does serious photo and video editing since those programs take a hell load of space.

  • @ken61496 i'm currenty geting a 2TB, 200 gb for games. 1tb for blu ray's, and 300gb for shows

  • can any hard drive fit into any desktop?

  • depend either it's desktop or laptop hard drive

  • because it'll last longer in terms of memory usage :)

  • i have a same problem , i plug in everything and its doesn't work . it says that hard drive working properly, but i have only one hard drive, the one i had before. If anybody know what to do or how please help me

    Thanks

  • hi i just put a new sata 1tb drive in my computer its reeding in the bios but not in vista well it is but it wont let me use that drive eg if i go to my computer it just lists the one 160gb hdd as being 2 but my new 1tb drive is not there i looked in divice manager and is says its working im like wtf

  • do i have only to put the harddrive into the pc and start or must i install it in dos or at start sepperatly? *sry for my english ;-)*

  • I "installed" a second hard drive but the computer oesn't recognize it. i checked the cables and even changed them. still, at disk management , there is no drive listed except c. and the dvd/cd...

could i need a bios upgrade or is it possible my mobo does not recognise 2 hd's? dell dimension 9100.....with extra ram...

    thanks for any help...

  • mine has done the same, I used different SATA ports and still no difference. If you figure it out let me know, thanks in advance.

  • we are using a sata drive..(not IDE).we had to go to the bios screeen and enable the sata port. there were 4 ports, one being used for the first hd we have and we figured out w/the schematic which port we had plugged the 2ndhd in to and enabled that one...its a point and click operation, when you close the bios a lilttle icon pops up and a wizard guys u the rest of the way! good luck

  • but what type off hard disk you haqve ata or sata ?

  • you need to assign a driver letter.

  • If i buy a hard drive do i have to install windows xp again cause i broke my old one please let me know

  • Of course. Your operation system will be installed to your hard drive. Anyway when u plug in a new hard drive u have to install the OS onto it.

  • oyu should buy all new softwear it hing itbe the best thing to do i just got windo7 ultimate its way beter

  • no aslong as its still save on one drive, if your REPLACING the the drive then you you will need to. But you jsut install the HD the same way... boot it up one restart then insert the OS cd and its all good (hopefully)

  • got a question. can I run two hard drives at the same time on my computer? I'm thinking of buying a 500gb internal drive and I was wondering if I needed to do something different.

  • Sure. If ur motherboard can see two hard drives u can use them at the same time. (the newer motherboards can see two or more)

  • before installing the new drive did the computer have 8gb or 80gb? i couldn't hear you that well.

  • 80gb....

  • deos the computer work without the hard drive does the moniter turn on?

  • Does any one know how much it would cost to build a pretty good gaming computer?

  • i got u. its around 700ish~ depends on how far you wanna go if u want a REALLY HIGH END COMP! around 800 but if u want a basic it can play games really good for a while maybe a couple years until u get a better job arounud maybe 650ish all depends on ur parts i was starting to do a 500 bux 1 ended goin up to 700 bux =\

  • Depends on the brand names of the parts you want. It could get pretty expensive.

  • $800 or more

  • Depends on the game, high end games might require $1,500 or higher. An average gaming PC should be roughly $1,000

  • My computer ran out of space and i bought an external hardrive... i had o install some program and ive been soring crap on it... but, everything i put on it and cant bring up.. we are considering buying and new computer... anyone know how to do this???

  • nice explanation!!

  • terabyte! that sounds great

  • About how much did that HDD cost?
