I´m a Satanist and I like this music... The lyrics are annoying for me, but on the other hand the Christians which listen to Black Metal sure aren´t very happy about the lyrics of that, too. So I ignore the lyrics and just listen to the beautiful voice of the singer and the great music. Surely the best Christian Metal Band I´ve ever heard - the others were boring ;D
@EndOfDeceive I wouldn't say others are boring, but I have probably heard more then you have, growing up in a christian headbanger home. But as much as we are in beliefs rivals, I can respect that in the end it's your choice to pick what you believe, and the only one who should judge you for it is God. Too often my ilk forget we are not judge others.

Others may think different about it. - And Satanism and Christianity aren't rivals in the end. To be honest, we cannot exist without each other. The Church needs a "Big Bad" who they could defeat and safe people from, and the other way round it's the same thing. - Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of Christian friends, and we respect each other.
@EndOfDeceive In a sense that is true, I have a very naturalist hunter background so I myself as a more wild dark girl don't always fit. But we all have to reach what we believe, personally I think all bands when they put any form of religion in their music are knowingly pigeon holing their fan base.
@stiltonchees mmm, i'd disagree. Thousand Foot Krutch has had Fire it Up used in the Indicar race, and the Flame in All of Us used in the Winter X Games!
@theorthianguy Well Adagio is pretty unparalled for one... I mean really only Symphony X holds up (Dream Theater does in technique too (probably better) but they are pretty different in style). I have not seen any christian metal bands that could compete with any of these bands. But there are good ones for sure.
@theorthianguy Yeah we clearly have different tastes. I can't listen to Skillet, actually I have a hard time listening to anything where the guitar player is a certain level below me. I've been playing only two years and sure I usually practice 4-12 hours a day, but still, two years, I expect guitar players to be better than me (I mean my main instrument is Saxophone)... So I'm much more into highly technical stuff, the progressive scene.

I've been listening to the Sweedish version of this song for a month. Didn't understand a word and still couldn't get enough of it. Now being able to read the lyrics and hear how this band has used their gifts to glorify God... man, does it get any better?

Check out Tourniquet. Very good Christian metal band. Check out songs like "Restoring the locust years", "Where moth and rust destroy", and more trash/ neo classical songs "Psycho surgery", "Besprinkled in scarlet horror" etc. They have a master drummer Ted Kirkpatrick. Just a suggestion =)
dude, there are TONS of christian bands that definitely can be compared to secular bands, many are even better! check metalforjesusDOTorg, they have many links and testimonies etc =)
