hey guys, i got both, german and american cars and im not german or american so im non biased, but i love both. they are both different. take a look at my channel and see, SUPERCHARGED M3 E92 700 HP and my 1968 SHELBY GT500KR one of two in the world in factory orange, summer promotion car... take a look, both have their pros and cons. and people have personal preferences. as well as fatcs, and facts are facts ; )

The Z06 and ZR1 are properly fast cars, so is the Porsche. But they do it in different ways, with different materials. And if you come back in 10 or 20 years your 1-in-500 ever made Porsche could well be worth more than you paid for it, unlike the mass produced vettes.

@noshabibis Price isn't necessarily the best way to argue about laptimes. You can go faster than that at half the price if you want to, it's all about how much you're prepared to sacrifice. The Z06 and ZR1 are properly fast cars, so is the Porsche. But they do it in different ways, with different materials. And if you come back in 10 or 20 years your 1-in-500 ever made Porsche could well be worth more than you paid for it, unlike the mass produced vettes.

Your Chrysler 300C for example is using 10 years old mercedes technology (Engine, underfloor, drivetrain, diesen engine). The ZR1 has brakes from Ferrari and a gearbox developed by ZF-Germany. The V10 of your Viper ACR only exists because of Lamborghini who was a partner company at the time...

So if you really think america build the better cars then answer those questions: Why can't you see american cars on european roads but many european cars on american roads (I was there...)? So who would buy a Mercedes for that much, when you can have a Cadillac for $80 000 and it kicks the mercedes's ass, not to mention if you buy a 20K Supercharger and 20K tyres on it, it will cost $120 000 and STILL cheaper. And anyway there are lots of taxes on American cars on Europe, just so they will be more expensive, and nobody buys them. And in America German cars cost less than in Europe

But heres something that I did hear, that Chrysler was German. Yes I know the Monaro is Australian, and I know that there was first the Monaro, and THEN, there was the 2004 Pontiac GTO, so its practically Australian. And the one I was talking about is the Vauxhall VXR8

A German car is engineered more solid than our domestics and the list doesn't stop with the engines, the bodies, suspension and interior materials are just on another level. Personally I wouldn't want a domestic car for the sake of supporting the local economy, I prefer something that can bring excitement and give me the satisfying feel knowing my money is well spent. Someday. For now I'll stick with my 2000 Maxima.

The US builds better quality and performance cars for like 3-4 times less price. You build a car for 100K, the US builds a car that kicks that car's ass for 50-60K. American cars last for about 40-45 years while eurocars 30-35 years. Nothing can beat the reliability of an American V8.

And look at the Bugatti, complete joke, especially the looks and the price. The Shelby SSC Aero looks better, lasts longer, more powerful/faster, AND half the price. Europe can only build cars that can beat American cars for 3-4 times the price. Imagine if the US built a car for $1200 000, what would that beat???
