Basia has been recording and touring again in recent years, first with a reformed Matt Bianco group (that's the name of the group -- there is no person named Matt Bianco) and as a "solo" act with a band. The Matt Bianco album is highly recommended for Basia fans. I've seen her in concert a couple times over the past few years, in a small venue where I could sit about 10 feet away from her (literally). She still has a great voice!

This song is like her career: an almost. Almost good, almost memorable,...but not quite. She sings well enough when she is just singing. But her pleasant voice fails when she tries to mimic soulful bluesy notes.

What a voice !! probably the best young female singer of her time, her backup vocals alone are stunning (she sings them too).
Perfect pitch & control with a touch of Gypsie add Eastern-Soul to her amazing, versatile voice, she has her own truly original style & class.
Her band was absolutely first class too.
Thank you POLAND for giving us one of the best singers of all time. :)

@dekay4099 This is from the the album Time and Tide from 1987, I believe Basia and Danny White, her keyboardist, produced it. If you're going to buy any albums from her I would also pick up The Sweetest Illusion, very good!

This song is like her career: an almost. Almost good, almost memorable,...but not quite. She sings well enough when she is just singing. But her pleasant voice fails when she tries to mimic soulful bluesy notes.
Funny video, because this song falls miserably short of being good enough to bring teens off the street and make a club crowd cheer and jump. LOL.
