you should practice with a tuner. you can change the pitch by dropping your jaw. some notes your really flat .some extremely sharp.

1) it might just be the camera's audio quality. it's possible there's nothing wrong with the ocarina

2) the only way he could fix it is if he changed his embouchure. the actual ocarina can't really change
