Power Quest has the best and most high pitched singer I've ever heard. I just love his pipe! Great music aswell. If I'm inspired by one band it sure as hell is Power Quest.

Actually, apart from being one of the best bands in the world, Power Quest is more of a fast-paced, upbeat melodic rock band with a lot of keyboard influence and amazing solos. "Power metal", by definition, would be Primal Fear, Accept, Dionysus, Masterplan, Gamma Ray etc.

rhapsody of fire is actually pure power metal too, sorry to let u guys down haha, symphonic metal is more like dark, when power metal is more epic and upbeat ^_^ like Rhapsody of Fire, Dragonforce, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Cellador, power quest, i can go on, but its all good, i feel u need to know this vital info haha

If it's metal and it's symphonic (like Rhapsody) then it's Symphonic Metal :P

The other bands aren't symphonic (they use too few classical instruments to constitute a symphony), therefore they aren't symphonic metal

Power Quest are awesome (if not as much so as Rhapsody)! I think I was at this gig. If it was the one in Leicester Square then there were only about 12 people there :(
