I actually found out, back when I played this as a kid, that if you hold down right during the lightning storm, you'd never get hit. That and I found a stage select one time in a random, buggy reset of my NES.

I played the heck out of this game.

The ground is white cause its supposed to be flying above the clouds. And those arent metors, its the laser being fired from the shuttle.

Everything ok.. but.. why do you speak during the last song !?!?!?!?! I can't understand it.. the most beautiful part of the game,the song when you come back home, it's nowhere recordered, it doesn't exist in mp3 format.. and what do you do? Telling us your game impression.. what sadness..

Another great Play It Through! I enjoyed this game when it came out about 20 years ago. I could never beat the second level becuase of the the trees!

Those parts were trickky, when you had to dodge those lightnings...

When I played this game, an easy wasy to dodge the lightning bolts/laser beams was to pull hard left and you easily breezed through. Another thing I liked about this game was that no matter how long you remained in a nose-dive, you never crashed! I did like the brilliant music and sound-effects in this game.

I always think that the "meteors" were enemy lasers and that the white "ground" was snow or ice, not clouds.
