  • I've seen a cat chase a bear off a property. There is a video of such an incident on YouTube

  • The cat family is fearless and great fighters. Dogs are cowards who are nothing without reinforcements.

Felines just own dogs in every respect. Very brave and proud animals.

  • @josevanreyes You call the Canidae coward? I bet they are more brave than you will ever be.

  • As security this is why time and time agian say keep ALL pets in doors, same with their food. Fences mean zero to these guys when they are hungry. Here's a tole so far here 1 possem, 3 cats, 1 golden retriever, and 1 pitbull. And if your walking your dog keep them within three feet of you after dark. They love to suprise attack and they will have your pooches throat before you can react or your dogs. -sigh- No one listens. If you listen the coyotes will leave when the food is gone.

  • at 00:59 something darts down the road.

  • The cat, toke a good decision, run and run !

  • unfortunately my little one didnt get away :(

  • Took care of our coyote problem with shotgun shells filled with salt.

  • Last night I went to a party......and I saw a coyote in our front yard then it ran to our friends house across the street. You see, my friend has a bunch of cats that walk around our yard and her yard. On our way back from the party her mom called and said if we have seen one of her cats.( she has one cat) we said no. I have two little dogs named Mack and jack. When I let then out to go to bathroom, I herd the loudest cat screech on earth!!!!!!! My ears are still soar. That coyote killed one c

  • @Bolt44BTR Alright! Chalk one up for the coyote! God I'm starting to sound really cruel!

  • That little cat had some major cajones! I'm glad he got away. =)

  • i like how people think their cats can take on coyotes.

  • cats are no joke, if they are determined they will pick a fight with anything

  • I have a 20 lb. male cat Apollo and he goes nose to nose with the local Coyotes, Apollo would lay an ass whoppin' on a Coyote!

  • Yup, there are wild coyotes in the Lemon Grove area too..

  • this video is badass. thanks for posting it... coyotes are my favorite dogs because they are not so eager to please humans, and incidentally there are no coyotes getting their balls chopped off by humans or being youthenized in our "animal shelters"... watch how fast that yotE mirrored the cats juke at the very end, he is about to rip it a new asshole and i hope it ate good that night... thanks for posting man

  • @analagony Yeah, they are my favorite also. I can hunt them for hours!!!

  • Had to watch twice it was toooo funny!!!!

  • lol... brave cat

  • I must say, as calm as he's acting. He's been through this before.......

  • @discohome16 saw him many times after this.

  • hahaha loved the subtitles... music too loud though.

  • Some cats just have a thuggish mindset. My first cat once attacked 2 huge dobermans that were being walked in front of my house. They just backed off and kept walking away.

  • Is that you cat?

  • @sabrinastar2005 No. Neighbors.

  • @bjorkyou Do you know if it's ok.

  • IF I WAS THAT CAT I WILL CHARGE AND GET COYOTE EYE !

  • i guess it was fight or flight!

  • fuck! if i were that cyote i would of f***ing ripped it appart! >:D

  • @Kanda1013 You probably would not survive very long as a predator. Predators prefer the prey that doesn't fight back/runs for a reason. They don't get medical help if something goes wrong unlike us and it is quite easy for even small things to get infected and get worse even if all the prey can do is injure you. Unless a predator is desperate and needs food, they are better off waiting for the prey that doesn't fight back.

  • @donchilenito nope coyoteys LOVE to eat cats, and they have even taken dogs. this cat was very lucky the coyotey was a young one.. i know someone who had 8 or so barn cats that lived outside. a coyote pack hung around for a few months.. now they have 1.

  • That 'yote was an inexperienced pup.... a full grown male would've snatched that cat up in a hot minute.

  • +1 for cat bravery: facing off a superior predator

-1 for cat stupidity: not jumping on car, going under car or immediately running away

+1 for cat speedy getaway: to make up for it's initial stupidity

+1 for cat luck: 8 more lives to go

    = survival & hopefully a lesson learned

  • Unfortunately, it's not funny when you loved pet of 10 years meets a coyote pack and doesn't survive. The coyote population has increased by 3000% and coyotes enjoy cats at 42% of their diet. KEEP YOUR CATS INSIDE! There are enough feral and diseased strays that your precious loved kitty shoudn't be prey.

  • What a badass cat! Standing up to a coyote and living to tell the tale. Sweet.

  • All the cat had to do was duck under the car 3 ft from it. oh well

  • haha yea kill that cat i hate cats haha

  • the cotye is only about twice the cats size but its porbely bigger

  • The dude that posted this video in the forum i came from is going to die! That was the choppiest, most retarded editing job EVA! Lol, next video you decide to make, just let it roll man, we don't care what you have to day, just let nature do it's thing. You don't see animal planet posting retarded comments lol. Every second of this video made me even more frustrated than I am literally going to Jay and Silent bob both you and the dude that posted this in the forums! You have been warned!

  • Man cats gotta learn to run cats in my neighbor hood are clearing 8 foot jumps and out running my hunting jobs so whever any thing thats not a cat or food gets close they jsut run

  • A+ for the Dick Dale.

  • dont think the coyote killed the cat thought, becouse Predator animals doesent normaly kill animals that will make much resistance... and a cat can give you nasty bites and scratches and the coyote could aswell end blind.

  • @DonChilenito cat made it.

  • @bjorkyou While I believed the cat might have made it in this situation...one must realize that several cats have become food to Coyotes all across America. So have several small to medium-sized dogs. That's a fact that far too many owners have had to endure.

  • @DonChilenito Predators often kill each other so they can get rid of competition for food. its just natures way. survival of the fittest.

  • @erintubb. depends on what predators you're talking about.. and not often they kill each other cubs mostly..

  • @erintubb all you do is reply to comments that make you mad upload film or stfu!

  • @erintubb <---dog fukin troll!

  • i thumbed this down for two reasons.

    1. you're begging for money

    2. the attempted jokes were not funny, and were annoying.

    otherwise i enjoyed it.

  • @vespers119 I'm not begging for money. It's for a 3 year old with leukemia I've never met. Just trying to be nice.

  • @bjorkyou : Just came across this. I googled "coyotes eating cats"... A little disappointed we didn't get to see the coyote munching out!

  • @williammeyer193 go fuck yourself asshole...... if a coyote came near my cat, i'd smash it's skull in so hard, you'd never peel it off the asphalt. My cat would have boxed the shit out of that coyote's face if it came that close with some dirty rabbit punches.

  • @Salvus967 Go fuck myself, wtf are you talking about? PS I HATE fucking nasty, smelly cats. I believe my fav Chinese restaurant around the corner is actually serving them! CAN YOU believe it?? The food is excellent though, no matter what the source. Have a LOVELY day!!

  • @williammeyer193 they dont smell

  • @Salvus967 I hope your little "tinkerbelle" chokes on a turkey bone over the holidays!! No really I don't want to freak you out. Cats are okay, just not my choice of a pet.

  • @williammeyer193 Dogs Rule!

  • @williammeyer193 In one on one confrontations the cat usually comes out okay.

  • @SkrPchr3 This was a case of what they call "fight or flight".

  • The cat was very brave. We have coyote packs here where I live and I have never seen a pet cat outside ever. There was a large dog that disappeared. There was also a child bit in the face by one here. I am glad the cat lived. I have never seen this before!

  • @goldeneyesofafrica where do you live?

  • I'm guessing those coyotes live in the canyons by the golf course and Morley Field. I lived in 92104 for a while, the kittehs stayed inside.

  • @mojostevo very close to that area.

  • thats a small coyote

  • @UplnSm0ke420 yes i live near spring valley near skyline and last night a coyote ate my neighbors cat

  • @meech923 i think thats how my cat just dissapeared outta nowhere.. i havent seen my cat since 2002... :(

  • WTF that cat has big balls, here in NY City we have rats that are larger !

  • LMAO

five stars for a great video

  • Ugh, keep your cats inside where they are safe people.

  • @JulesKelworan Well, I own some cats that bolt for the back or front door every time the doors open. Some cats prefer remaining indoor, but most cats I know like the freedom and being able to roam. They also hate collars and will tear them off at any chance they get(mine do anyways). It's impossible to keep my cats in all the time. Especially when bringing in groceries or shopping bags. If you owned a cat that preferred the outdoors you'd understand.

  • @UplnSm0ke420 I live in North Park near balboa park.

  • the coyote wanted the cat to run. it was trying to prompt it to run. easier to grab it by the neck and kill it that way.

  • #1 food item on the urban coyote diet; domestic cat. studies have shown 85% of their diet is domestic cat. Why do people let their cats outside to contend with this?

  • @TheSquawlady I saw the cat for many months after this incident.

  • @bjorkyou

    No way? Did you really?

  • @bjorkyou That's too bad.

  • coyotees r so gay

  • Most of the cats killed by coyotes are caught off guard, while eating or drinking.

  • fake how did the coyote appear from the corner of the screen and not from the outise???????????

  • Are you sure the cat got away???

  • I lossed all my cats to these crappy scalawags. I pulled out my 30-06 one morning and shot four in the outskirts of san diego. I let the cats chew on them.

  • @imaluckydickens you got my vote

  • i hate coyotees

  • @kais679

    I love Coyotes

  • Night animals :)

  • That cat juked the sh*t out of the coyote. Touchdown!

  • maybe the cat wanted to become a meal

  • that whas actually what the coyote whas whaiting for, normaly cats doesnt run away from foxes or coyotes, but as this cat runned away it showed weekness fear. but i dont think the coyote killed it as the cat will defend it self.

  • @DonChilenito cat got away.

  • @bjorkyou

You watch too much censored anime dubs.

  • I have a siamese that is tougher than snot and she is only 8 lbs. If you want to hear something that makes the hair stand up, stand outside and listen to wolves howl. They are even more eerie than coyotes

  • @ljrundleful coyotes are pretty scary sounding when they kill something and they call the rest of the pack and they all start up at once along with the pups yelping. Pretty disturbing but reminds us we're still part of the wild, even in the city.

  • @bjorkyou Well Coyotes are generally two pack members. Yeah generally a male and female. If you ever see puppies thats just the kids coming to feed.

  • @bjorkyou is it known whether the cat died???

  • @ksionc100 the cat lived. Coyote never touched it.

  • @bjorkyou thanks. My psyche is healthier to belive in happy ending but how could you possibly know if the two ran out of camera's rich :)

eh, it's a good thing in europe (at least where i live, there's nothing equivalent to coyotes

  • @ksionc100 *reach (silly me)

  • @ksionc100 it was a neighbors cat and I saw him for many months after this.

  • @bjorkyou thanks again, now i can live my life reliefed and happily :)

  • if anyone wants to hear some wicked howls I think I have some posted on my video page . If not they are on my facebook. They ARE predators but not the nuisances people make them out to be . Thats coming from someone with a goat farm in the woods. Respect them and keep pets in at night and cloudy days.

  • More cats are lost every year to expanding Chinese restaurants than car accidents, malicious people, and coyotes combined.

  • @VideoScenario .... cat lived with no damage.

  • @bjorkyou

that coyote was close to him and was a bully, he was like "o hell no" lol

  • i just donated 300 bucks to the kid and his family. have u donated yet

  • I love to see a domesticated cat fall back on his wild instincts in situations like this. When I walk my dog past a neighbor cat, I love to hear them "maaaww" and puff up. They are fierce animals for their size.

  • @imhooks unfortunately their size is too small for a coyote.. they eat em all the time...

  • @guahould that's fine and well. Cats die daily. Im just saying that one got away more than likely. Its not hard for a cat to outrun a dog/coyote pup and find a tree. No need to point out that they are killed by coyotes on other occasions. Thank you though.

  • I'm surprised the cat didn't run under the car. Great vid. My friend see coyotes in the canyon behind his apartment in San Deigo all the time.

  • FFFFFFF! oh no you didnt!

  • TOO LOUD

  • I eat cats. They very tastely. Taste like pussy, know what I mean!

  • and thats y cats r awsome =]

  • Thanks!

  • the captions made this just too funny!!!! i love it :-)

  • you dont know what happened outside the cam vies, i think the cat did got eaten or ran up a tree :P if its lucky

  • Im glad that cat stood its ground!Thats how it survived, the coyote saw that it was brave ^^

  • @kid01k And he actually stood there even longer. I edited it down from the 3 minute stand off to a little shorter just to make it easier to watch.

  • @kid01k if it weren`t edited you would see the coyote comes walking back a few seconds later with the cat in his mouth ... sorry to say ...

  • KITTY RULLEZ!!

  • awhh thats is sad did the poor kitty make it

  • @Dimibeei12 yes he did.

  • Moments later, the cat escaped, as the coyote was hit by a train. ... Or an anvil, or something.... Happens every time.

  • fuck cats they scratch my cars all the time shit i will buy a cayote to keep the cat pop donw

  • This is a metaphor for the workforce.

  • Did that cat really juke out the coyote football style? Look closely at 1:34 to 1:36...wish my cat had that move, I think he was killed by a pair of coyotes this week...my cat's been missing for 2 days and they've been outside yipping and yelping since...my german shepherd is unusally skiddish and growls at night.....

anyone know a way I can lure them into the open for a shot?

  • @SeppLainer

Food. Raw meat, might as well be a bit rotten, to work better. May attract all kinds of animals though. Also pick a high place to shoot from, so your scent won't be carried by the wind straight to the animal you want to shoot. In case you miss, you still hit the ground and not someone else's property.

  • the cat all like: I FUCK U UP!!!

  • lol...

  • one of the funniest video on you tube

  • Thanks god that cat lived

  • Music is great with this video! Thanks for letting us know that the kitty got away. Stupid people letting their cats run free should be the ones facing the predators.

  • Thanks.

  • cool video mate

  • I bet the cat's thinking, "I'M BIG, I'M BIG BIG BIG!!!! annd... maybe not, RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN!!!!" haha. This cat must have either been very lucky or very quick, well done to it for getting away! =D

  • When cat did not run, coyote did not have it's prey triger, triggered. And thought uhoh did I just fuck up. in the end, the cat would have out run the coyote. A cat can reach 20mph in two strides, if chase lasted more than 50 to 75 yards cat would have been food.

  • Lol for all those who think the coyote got the cat, think......cats can probably out run, and get in tighter spaces, that and climb things that coyote's cant, especially in a city.

  • dude i just saw this happen last night, except the coyote was trying to eat a small dog, and we scared the coyote off with our car, so the coyote tried to eat a cat, and the cat totally kicked its ass, so the coyote totally just gave up.. lol

  • What a funny end to a obvious tragic kitty death :(

  • @nuclearthreat545 The cat made it. I saw him after this incident as if nothing had happened.

  • @bjorkyou good news men, i think that the cat is more fast than coyote, or he up floors....jumping.

    Sorry bad english. =D.

  • @mattmah666666 @mattmah666666 The cat did live. Probably climbed up a tree. Your English is good.

  • "Yo ass better get cable!" LMFAO!! =)

  • that cat survived

  • It is hard to know what happened after 1:30 on this video but I would guess the coyote killed this cat. When the cat faced the coyote it could defend itself but once it started running the coyote is much faster and can grab it quickly....unless the cat went up a tree. But I fear this was a quick meal for the yote.

  • Oh I see from the posts he got away. Good. Let the coyote eat mice.

  • @InternetHitman

that was the best comment evar, my hat goes off to you sir.

  • Go coyote eat that ugly damn cat. These poor coyotes have had their habitat destroyed by humans and have no where else to go but into the streets and eat domesticated pets. oh well

  • Found a partially eaten cat this morning at the neighbor's house. Be aware of your surroundings if you take your kids or small animals out at night. Coyotes will even hunt during the day.

  • now thats funny "apparently this cat doesnt watch the discovery channel" "yo ass better get cable" lol...coyotes are calculating gangsters

  • a normal size dog can whip a coyote and or a cat... a big dog... that would not be pretty

  • Coyotes will eat cats, but as this vid showed, they will think long and hard about. Predators usually like prey that doesn't put up too much fuss, and that can't inflict serious damage. A cat can put up enough of a fight to cause bad bite wounds and scratches that damage eyes and nose.

  • Found a cat on a walking trail early one morning with its whole insides completely cleaned out but everything else intact. I knew right away what happened. I looked at the address on the tag and walked about a block and rang the doorbell. Dad said he would get a shovel to clean up and kids hearts would be crushed. What did you think would happen in vegas letting a cat out at night.

  • Now I know what's happening to all the cats and small dogs in our neighborhood

  • Also remember that a coyote smells VERY different then a domesticated dog, so this cat knew damn well it wasn't dealing with a pampered pooch. Immediately running would of showed weakness and triggered the coyote to give chase. Cats are NOT stupid animals.

  • yo ass better get cable! lol!

  • Dunno but my cat would have propably just stood there. He spends most of his time in the wild he may come to eat something and sleep a couple of hours but otherwise he is in the wild. Once took a week before he came back. Once there was a not so delightful surprise when the whole yard was covered in some white fur and there he was eating a rabbit...weirdest thing is he only ate the head :/

  • ive seen way more blinded dogs than hurt cats

  • It can happen for sure.

But if a dog knows what hes doing and is real aggressive, its over in 15 seconds.

they roll them, grab their stomach or head and shake until the cat is dead

The cat never has a chance to claw or even bite back much.

A Drahthaar, Pit, Airdale or hunting dog etc does it just like this with ferals.

But they leave the nice house kitties alone.

    Least mine do.

  • "shake attack"?

you should see my bobcat's "rip out eyes and crush spinal cord with one bite attack".

that dog will be shaking alright

  • (Bob) Cat wont have a chance to rip out anything..

    They fight from their back.

Dogs just Grab the chest, close their eyes and shake like a Great White Shark.

Cats get disembowled. Last about 45 seconds.

Its not pretty, its nature as it is.

Ive seen it happen many times while out hunting coons, we sometimes run into bobcats. All is well until the Airedale arrives.

    Then all hell breaks loose.

  • An airedale?? lol Are you kidding?

I'm sure anyone could take an airedale. I wouldn't go near a bobcat without a hunting knife.

    Or a gun.

  • Nope

80lb Hunting Airedale...wrecks Bobcats, Coons, Coyotes, Badgers and anything else short of bear or mountain lion...which it bays

    The others, it kills, Quickly

  • -- Coyotes are great animals ,,, I have killed 5 of them ,,, Illinois , it was open season ,, But I will not kill them again.

  • A coyote sized me up the same way but decided I was too big to eat. It was rather intimidating having him just stand there looking at me. It was about 80 lbs. too so a lot bigger than this little mutt. I think our coyotes are bigger because they kill fawns.

  • @loneoakgrls

Not sure why you assumed the cat was killed. I've mentioned several times on several posts that the cat got away. I hope you see the humor now. I hope you remove your negative rating.

  • Why? Of you putting this video on Youtube, you should of been aware that you would get positive and negative ratings/comments. Duh

  • @bjorkyou some people just wanna be critical for no reason. lol

  • @loneoakgrls Lol, tard.
