@Badeken You need wifi. A lot of places have free wifi though (mcdonalds, starbucks, subway, almost all major book stores and my local malls have it to.

to add, you can't bluetooth files from a mobile phone to this device WTF

and the 'tethering' is hit and miss with many phones. god damn i don't understand the overated hype over this crap. I won't buy archos again

btw, when you launch stuff sometimes the screen goes blank and you sit there wondering... wtf

also, webtv and radio is something you get when you register.

plus, all the docks to hook it to your tv are like at least £50 a go and one is £90

first impressions - AVOID ! or if you must have it get the 32 gb SD version and a few extra large capacity cards. It will run cooler and longer without a clunky (yes, it's a noisy device) hard drive in it

1 day and what i've found:

the internet is not too bad but the browser needs work. Speed wise I was able to connect upto a max of 54 mps on my 125 mps wireless-side zxyel router

Multitasking ? Lmao , forget it, it cannot handle it at all

Size-wise if you want a device I'd hold out for something much better (wouldnt be hard)

This is as expensive as the small laptops out there atm

Only plus i've found is you can drag and drop media onto it and it plays well. Speaker is crap though

It uses resistive touch screen which is pressure sensitive while the ipod touch has a capacitive multi-touch screen which is highly responsive.

Resistive touchscreens usually work better with a stylus.

the headbox dont work you have to press the shell to make it work every hour hanging Constant crashes (Do not wake up) always reset push button automatic standby after 20 min ,deathly! for me absolutely not usable Fm-Transmitter only usable with Headset Radio dont work good problems as an example Archos 605 WIFI Keep away of cheap Products :-( Dirty france Archos are cheaters and support are is unfriendly. bye bye Archos
