Being brutally honest, love in a trashcan sounds like a modern day beatles!!!! simple and catchy. Just what music needs, none of this lady gaga judas crap. nothing manufactured about the ravonettes
@thestranger4812 with normal rock I meant something like Nickelback. I've never heard something cool like The Raveonettes, it's so different from the ordinary rock they play on the radio. But dude, this is about 9 months ago ^^
what the fuck are you guys talking about the guitar doesn't sound out of tune. he just has a shit loud of spring reverb on the that re-occurring lead part. Surf guitar style.
Hmm, I noticed the acoustic version is the same "out of tune"... I typically really like things in tune, but not always. Rough edgy fuzzy classic rock can be just perfecty out of tune. Think (or should I suggest "feel") Zeppelin, Santana, Clapton, Hendrix, etc. Kind of like the off beat thing that can make jazz really catchy.
Old Fenders w/ benders are always out of tune. It takes guts to play one live. Also, the effects are thicker than Kimmel Live version making tuning an imperfect at best. Sune is sharp... my guess is that he likes the set up and wanted a different sound than the Jimmy Kimmel Live version. It adds an authentic rough edge. Western ears often disapprove of shades of tuning, but many cultures and styles embrace it. "It's close enough for rock n roll" applies to this performance. Ravonettes rock!
shut up you corporate a-hole. Rock and Roll is about feelings and a great song. Study those books hard and do what your told! dumb ass. Shut up while you're talking to me.
He really should have tuned his guitar before going on stage :s I love Sune Wagner and everything he has made since the begining of his carrier (Psyched Up Janis etc.) But this time he failed me by singing slightly out of key and by not tunning his guitar. :( bummer
I remember this fondly from when it first aired and I haven't seen it since. Sune's guitar is so much louder than the rest of the band and slightly out of tune, It's so awesome! Thanks for putting it up!

"Normal rock", lol, what would that be? U2?
This song doesn't really fall into the indie rock genre, I'd simply call it "rock and roll".
