Ah Minny Pops & Nasmak were much closer to the doom movement (Crispy Ambulance, Section 25, etc) than they were to the new wave synth pop of Depeche Mode. The Minny Pops lp on Plurex "Sparks in a Dark Room" is much deeper and darker than DP ever dreamed of being. Yes Dolphin Spurt is good but not even close to as good as the Plurex LP.
i'm sorry but i don't see the LINK between DM and MP... or any guys that use synth has a link to it. to easy lazy link for me. by the way I prefer MP to DM.
For sure I also prefer MP. I have never like Depeche. But what I ment was that it was sad that they leaved their style, after -83. Probably they would have a better commersial succes.
This stays a great tune

Yeah, pure synth. If MP has developed further with this style, I believe they have been in the same range as Depeche Mode, but they didn't.
I've got the Kogel single as a bonus in MP:s first LP.

their change was certainly a WILL to not FALL in the commercial CRAP. ;-)
