  • Nice video, but around the net are demonstration videos only nobody uploaded one complete song, just loops, im expecting more from $3600 piece of gear.

  • Hi ripe909,

I'm fan of your music :)

I'm preparing to buy a Genoqs Octopus or Nemo and Im curious about how many track usually do You use in one song. Maybe I dont need so many tracks like Octopus have (in most of cases) and I can buy Nemo. How Do You think?

  • "What do You think" of course :)

  • It will really depend on how you work. I use a lot of pages so that I can group together tracks. ie: all percussion on one page, bass line on another page, melody on a page, etc. This allows you to mute a grid row to add/remove elements (all percussion, all bass, etc). Nemo has 4 grid rows I believe, Octopus has 10. I would not have enough rows with Nemo, but there would be enough tracks.

You could build an entire loop on one page, but the song construction gets a little more complicated.

  • It is a amazing machine.

  • I'm sooooo close to pulling the trigger on buying one of these. Is there a good website or link that goes through the basics and features of this monster? It may be overkill for what I wish to do, but I think that I could grow into it.

I know about the genoqs site & the manual, but I'd like to see some more 'user feedback' oriented stuff.

    Thanks!

  • DOPE!

    THANK YOU

  • i understand that it's capable of user definable custom direction maps..... but why? it's just "because", or does this actually improve things for you? i think i would like the traditional chase light setup from left to right. typical xox style.

although it does look neat the way you did it

  • Although this is just a demonstration of one way to use the direction maps, it could actually be useful.

For example, you could use this method to "store" your location in the pattern. Then you could play 4 steps, switch to another pattern, then come back and your pattern resumes playback where it left off.

    cheers

  • Great function demontration. THX

  • Fantastic! Great to see the other users putting up some cool content of the functions.
