Buy from a licensed broker - simple! Nobody complains about price and/or availability until a regular event becomes a BIG event which is not the norm because you can get a mid-week April, May or Sept. Mets or Yankees ticket for 1/3 of face value and nobody seems to complain when the owner of the tickets might be losing money in that case....see what I mean? Stub Hub is a middle man - they have a huge advertising budget but DO NOT stock any tickets themselves...call your local broker and save!
I mostly buy my Yankee tickets of EBAY or STUBHUB. I once bought a ticket from a scalper and got pretty good seat, but I am still skeptical of them. Like you said counterfiet tickets is what I am afraid off when buyin from scalpers, but what is the percentage of them being fake?
@B0RNfree I bought a ticket from a scalper. The best thing to do is to ask if the ticket is a hardcopy, checking the date, time, bar code. Also, make sure you go to their house, that way you know where they live. Usually, they buy 8 tickets. That's the max you can have for 1 credit card I believe.
Very interesting.
