i agree with that coz,,, we got hit earthquake here in phillipines but my dog didnt take any reaction and keep sleeping until the dog realize some one took an arrow to his knee =P hehehe
Because dogs have such a great sense of hearing the can hear the sound waves before the earthquake actually hits. No wonder the entire population is scared for the future. Because the future is nothing but uneducated idiots.
animals don't have a sixth sense, they just have much sharper senses than us human. oh... wait... they do have a sixth sense: COMMON sense! cuz the leaders around the world today sure don't have it!
@SupremeAmerican Actually, cats can sense danger too. I had a friend who had a seizure disorder. She lived alone and had only her cat for company. A couple of minutes before a seizure would come on, the cat would push her onto her back on the couch and sit on her chest, then stay with her through the seizure. Several times, it kept her from falling on the floor and hurting herself.
Their saying dogs can supposedly sense earthquakes way before they happen, then why dont people study dogs more so they can help people before the earthquake comes!
dogs proly know shits coming cuz they can hear better esp earthquakes u hear them before u feel it, ive experienced 17+ earthquakes the last 2yrs n ive heard evr 1 of them 3-5sec before ive actually felt it
@2012hereandnow1133 and it seems like they only detect one seconds before, So WTH are you going to do in 10 seconds to do whatever you do before an earthquake. Another thing is what does a dog do? and how do you know what it is doing means that an earthquake is coming?
It's not a sixth sense, it's being able to hear ultrasounds.
Also, sometimes the sixth sense is on the human brain and it's called imagination, humans can see something if they want to, even if it didn't happened.
very true, i live in thailand, i have a flock of racing pigeons, before the earthquake they all flew away, so was my pet chickens and the friendly street dogs that i love dearly,, all run away before the earthquake/tsunami
i think humans can sense it too if we just pay attention but i think we can only sense a few seconds before. last earthquake here on the east coast i could feel something was about to happen before the earthquake actually hit where i was.
I also have no doubt that dogs can sense human emotions, because if I'm ever sad about something, both my dogs who usually stick to my mother, will be near me to comfort me.
dogs can hear the infrasonic waves generated by seismic activity, these waves are way below our range of hearing and thus they know beforehand, nothing paranormal here.
just a few moment before we had the earthquake here ,, my dog couldn't stop barking .. i heard noise but i thought i was my neighbors downstairs , turns out it was an earthquake
Actually in the Japanese earthquake I was there and felt awful all day really sick then after the earthquake the symptoms left. It can happen to us humans as well.
Dogs' ears can hear low frequence sounds emited by the smashing of rocks in the underground during the approaching of sismic waves. Dogs have no sixth sense, they only hear low frequence sounds that human ear cannot hear. That's all.
Actually I sort of have this too. If a earthquake is about to happen at night, I would jolt awake in panic for no reason before it starts, like my body told me to be alert for something. Then seconds later the ground starts to shake...o_o
Dagos have no 6th sense. They only hear the earthquake roar approaching to them. Dogs can hear low frequence sounds below human ear capacity. The earthqake's roar generates tremble and that's what dogs hear. They get fear because they don't know what's happening and then go away scared.
You know humans can sense earthquakes before it happens. We have this magnitide in our heads or something look up jim berkland and you will find out. Look up jim berkland micheal savage.
@gibbsies the so-called 6th sense might have a scientific basis that simply hasn't been appropriately studied. that being said, earthquakes will sometimes emit gases prior to happening which an animal might smell, and there's also the possibility that they feel the slighter vibrations before we do.
Sometimes when I nap on the couch, I audio hallucinate that the doorbell rang. I look at the cat to see if it really did ring cause she does not like the doorbell. Does that count for anything? lol.
my dog gets impatient and restless before storms. thats how we no if thers a sno storm the next day, he will get like that. a few days ago (i live in new england) he threw up and the next day there was a least 2 feet of sno. its so cool.
so true! there's been a couple earthquake happening here in san diego lately.. and almost everytime before it happens, my dog was barking and running around. it's like she's telling us someting. seconds, or a minute or so later, a shaking happens.
It took too long to load.
