  • I can honestly say that I'm glad my mocha machine gave up the ghost… I have all of this fresh ground espresso, and a NEW use for it!

  • @R6bbie You know, I based some of the modifications on some of the feedback that Guy got. One of the complaints was a waste of rub and I had intended on not pressing the steaks in the bowl like Guy did, but it was getting late and I went into panic mode. Agree 100% though. It hurt dumping all of that rub in the trash... :(

  • @mammafishy I really like Guy too. I got to hang-out one on one with him for about 40 minutes or so a couple of years ago. Long story, but I even got a ride in his Shelby Cobra. Very nice and humble man. He told me he felt like the luckies man in the world for getting paid to do what he loves.

  • @akobberup Good question, but no it didn't get burned. I'm sure if the meat had been left on the direct heat a bit longer, it would have.

  • @akobberup I hear you. I'm always making adjustments for my wife's tastes... You could serve the sauce without even telling her there was beer in it however. I reduced it down to 1/2 cup and it tasted more like a balsamic reduction. I was even dipping bread in it.

  • @jwheat65 Thank you. You know, Tango Spice Company (who has the YT channel "TangoSpiceCompany") has a really good rub called Midnight Espresso that tastes killer on beef.

  • @GrillingNetwork Thank you Allen. It was really good stuff.  I cut the amount of salt and tweaked a few other measurements just to fit our tastes here. I'll be doing this again for sure!
