@R6bbie You know, I based some of the modifications on some of the feedback that Guy got. One of the complaints was a waste of rub and I had intended on not pressing the steaks in the bowl like Guy did, but it was getting late and I went into panic mode. Agree 100% though. It hurt dumping all of that rub in the trash... :(
@mammafishy I really like Guy too. I got to hang-out one on one with him for about 40 minutes or so a couple of years ago. Long story, but I even got a ride in his Shelby Cobra. Very nice and humble man. He told me he felt like the luckies man in the world for getting paid to do what he loves.
@akobberup I hear you. I'm always making adjustments for my wife's tastes... You could serve the sauce without even telling her there was beer in it however. I reduced it down to 1/2 cup and it tasted more like a balsamic reduction. I was even dipping bread in it.
@jwheat65 Thank you. You know, Tango Spice Company (who has the YT channel "TangoSpiceCompany") has a really good rub called Midnight Espresso that tastes killer on beef.
@GrillingNetwork Thank you Allen. It was really good stuff. I cut the amount of salt and tweaked a few other measurements just to fit our tastes here. I'll be doing this again for sure!
This is what I call out of the box and out of this world! I love Gueniss stout.

That looks tastey! What would you recommend instead of using Guiness?
thicon7 3 weeks ago
@thicon7 That's a tough call... The Guiness really worked great. I'm sure any heavy stout would work fine.

I wonder if that rub would be good on a burger?.. Nice video!

@mrdanisthename Coffee rubs go so good with beef, I'm sure it would rock on a burger. Great idea!

@mb9607 Coffee is used often in beef rubs. Tastes great on a grilled steak! Your English is fine by the way. Thanks for watching!

Excellent steaks & video!

Now I do need to get me those griddles for my Craycort.
Everything looks amazing - Bravo!
TangoSpiceCompany 1 month ago
@TangoSpiceCompany Thank you Joe. Probably could have used your Midnight Espresso, but didn't want to burn up the whole jar on one cook!
The griddle is a really fun addition to the grill... Fo-show

Dang that looks good - beautiful pieces of meat!
Don't the sugar get burned when searing the steaks?
akobberup 1 month ago
@akobberup Good question, but no it didn't get burned. I'm sure if the meat had been left on the direct heat a bit longer, it would have.
