Bush increased the national debt from 3.4 trillion in 2000 to 5.8 trillion in 2008 That's a little more than 5% of GDP if you're math deficient.
On the other hand, to date, Obama has increased the national debt from 5.8 trillion from the time he took office, to 9.8 trillion now; For a total of 26% of GDP.
According to the CBO the budget deficit has almost tripled under Obama (Jan 2009-present) so i'd be interested to know where you got your stats.

First, Obama has written his own speeches a number of times. Second, he don't use a Teleprompter all the time. He didn't use one in Baltimore when he took on those hack Repukes, which made FOX run away. He didn't use one for that Democratic conference, either.
