one question though, i have the same mic, BUT it seems like i need to litterally swallow the mic just to hear my voice...what in the hell is wrong?

Did u rec ur voice with the SM58 ? i'm trying to do it home and it's not near this quality, the outcome seems more like i was inside a hole on earth and i'm sure everything is set up right, it sucks! i use audacity for Mac but i'm just so dissapointed i don't think is just the lack of acoustic in my place...any advise?

@julipj2004 He probably uses a program to edit it? Since you have a mac, why use audacity over Garage Band?

Do you have right soundcard? Default soundcard on mac is not good enough for your microphone and also some soundcards works good only with dynamic mics and some only with condenser mics.
