Wow all hand built, and only 8 Vipers per day..now I really appreciate the Viper even more than I did back in 1992!!!! And to think that I'm finally getting one ('03 SRT 10 w/ 8,000 miles) and it about brings me to tears..let's thank our young men & women fighting and dying in Afganistan/ Iraq so that we can build, and drive and own and enjoy these American supercars. Makes them even sweeter!

I actually do work there, and just stumbled across this video... I had forgotten to look for it after it was made. Take it from a "craftsperson", this is a very well done, accurate depiction of the process. I would have liked a quick overview of the inspection process, but I suppose that strips away some of the magic.

@prodriver1 Hey watch what you say the viper will crush any sports car and/or super car with 600 stock horsepower and 550 ft lbs of torque it will go from 0-60 in 2.3 seconds without burning rubber it has been and always will be my dream car.

Anybody know of the details of the customer pick-up program? Chevrolet has a similar program with their Corvettes, but it's much more involving. Is the Viper's program just a pick-up-and-go type of deal or is it like the Corvette's?

The customer pick-up program is basically a tour of the plant, much like what you've seen here... Difference is you get to drive away, lol.

Its funny that so many people go on and on about the "technology" in Euro cars. Does anyone ever notice that the only cars that are LESS reliable than American cars are Euro cars. Who is the lowest on the list every year. BMW, Merc., Jaguar so on so on. And Italian super cars, yeah they kick ass, beutiful all that stuff. Squeezing 500+ HP out of a 5ltr V12 has its consequences. $10,000 tune ups ever 5,000 miles. cars that cost $500,000 I dont hate on Ferrari but there for elite rich only.

no where near the craftsmanship and perfection of other super car factories such as ferrari, amg, and mclaren. that viper is still using pushrod and rocker technology :O. it's 2009 boys.

@vietguy87 Its not a Ferrari, it shouldnt be a Ferrari it cost far less than a Ferrari. Who cares what the quality of a Ferrari is. These cars have been competing with Euro cars since they came out. In 92 US only had Vettes and for the most part they were sad. At this moment the Viper ACR is beating records of $500k cars. Nothing wrong with pushrods and 8ltr. This is Dodge's version of a super car and it kicks ass.
