32 years later, and this track is still just as crisp and fresh! (Not that I was around to hear it when it was new, mind you, but I think it sounds far less dated than many of the big hit-makers of 1978).

I'd say it sounds like a cross between "This Year's Model" and Joe Jackson. Everyone was doing the dub/reggae backbeat thing then, but the Police weren't quite as jerky in their execution.

Spangles were a popular UK sweet/candy in 60's and 70's, one of the flavours being 'Acid Drop'.

This is just a kick ass tight band. I Love Barry's organ stabs. Not too much into him and Andy's "Monstrance" album..but the first 2 XTC albums are killer...as well as everything from XTC Mach 2+
