Here is some REAL trivia for you. The announcer on this trailer is Olan Soule. He is probably BEST known as the voice of Batman in the 1968 Filmation series and all but the last two seasons of Super Friends. But, he had a long career doing things like this and some acting.

I just watched the first 15 minutes of Steve Martin as The Pink Panther and I can't believe I didn't shoot myself in the head. The only reason I didn't, I think, is because I didn't have a loaded gun next to me!!! what an absolute piece of garbage. worst movie I have EVER seen. Let's face it. Martin should have known better. They did an Inspector Clouseau film with Alan Arkin in the late sixties and stunk so bad that no one remembers it. The fact that Martin made not one but two of these where a sign of disrespect.Sellers must definitely be rolling in his grave.

I cannot understand why they even TRY a remake of a film that still works, that is still as funny as they come, that millions still love and cherish, and that is not even TOO old for some of the younger audience to understand.

Some films are classics, because they're classics. If you can't perfect them, don't even bother...

That's because sophistication contracted a deadly disease in the early 80's and by 1985 died. I hear rumors from time to time about people who used to be sophisticated still are but alas they are just rumors. Everything is a copy of a copy. But i'm still hopeful. Why? Because I believe in reincarnation and I think sophistication will have to come back as soon as we remember how to be classy and stop cutting corners!
