We were basically a really nice third world country until the 70s (offically until the last decade, if you believe our PM), and I personally think the fact we've never lost a big fight is more due to us being a nation of incredible badasses than having quality gear or numbers.

This video is obvious that they are not on the parade square, look at the officer in white.

Unless the regulations were changed just recently, "stand at ease" means that you stand in formation in a more relaxed pose, yet follow the commander with his eyes and absolutely no talking. "at ease" means that you are permitted minor movement as long as your right foot remains in place. Still no talking.

And you might want to look up what parade actually means in a military context, it is an assembly of troops. Unless a person is getting a medal and his family is invited, no civilians are allowed at our weekly parades at my regiment. And you can doubt if I've ever been in the service all you want, the CF puts more importance on combat ability than 17th century drill.
