  • I like Sea turtles i'm only 14 so my dream is to rescue these animals and help them :-) but there will be alot of years learing before i can get to my dream Nice Video 5/5 Amazing!

  • Mama Pritchard, the 368-pound, mature female loggerhead sea turtle, is the first turtle released this season on Saturday, April 17 at the Isle of Palms County Park. Mama Pritchard was brought into the Sea Turtle Hospital by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) on July 7, 2008 weighing 330 pounds.

Search "CoastalDigital" for "Unprecedented Release of Sea Turtle" by Kelly Thorvalson of Georgetown, SC, and Charleston, SC.

  • thats a goood thing to do !!!!!!god bleses u!thanks u

  • sweet!

  • Good job guys!! You have saved the species!!! And plus we love sea turtles and other underwater creatures:D ( my bro and i )

  • Good work! Here's an idea. When you are attending the mass hatchings, why not fly toy kites with eagle images on them? They should be cheap to buy. My guess if that, during daylight at least, it might discourage local seagulls somewhat.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete. :-)

  • God bless ya'll! Sea turtles rock and so does God

  • i love this!!! its so great to see people helping these creatures!!! My heart goes out to you for all the effort you put in and time, its marvellous!!!

  • Now this is what I needed to see before work! My heart wells up with pride while watching these turtles being helped...if only someone this compassionate was there for that poor turtle caught in the Gaza strip.

  • Right on!!

  • they should save turtles cause turtles rock and they r very special to me and cause NO turtle Deserves to die

  • amazing pics and video :]

i'm in love with sea turtles. gonna major in biology so i can become a marine biologist in later years.

it's pretty much my dream to help and rescue these animals

  • Good for you! Without people like you, these anmials wouldn't be around for our children or our children's children. Thank you so much!!!

  • guys take into consideration that weak species extinct until a stronger version comes up. This is what evolution is all about.

  • Hmmm, generally I'd agree with your principle, but unfortunately man has tipped the scales for creatures like turtles so that normal evolution is not working. Leatherbacks have been around for millions of years, effective and strong, but won't be here in 20 years without protection and help. Not trying to be contentious, just throwing in ideas.

  • wow thanks

  • i love you people ! u guys rule! u deserve honor! may people the kill animals with hate and criminality in their hearts burn in hell

  • i love all turtles all size and shape

  • they are so sweet looking and helpless. I love em. I cant stand to they they are being hurt or anything bad happening to them! good job!!!!!!! They need you!!! :)

  • To volunteer in this project would be privilege.

  • I admire your work,, I too some day want to help in the ocean my dream is to be a marine biologist

  • Thank you very much. I hope one day your dream comes true! ;-)

  • OMG! hes looks like he weighs 100 pounds. was it on its back when you found it?

  • When they found her she was stuck in what they call a tidel pool. Here in South Carolina in turtle season we get these weird things during full moons called spring tides which very from 7 feet to 10 feet. So she got stuck in a deep "puddle" and tide had already made it's way out to sea. She would have been stuck in that puddle for 6 hours had they not released her. Wow. sorry that comment was so long. And a female that age weighs about 300 to 400 pounds.

  • They are very lovely animals. We Love what we do!

  • You guys are awesome! Good job:)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Ohhh... I love turtles...Good for you getting it back to the water. You are a very good person.

  • We are trying very hard. Thank you!

  • good job

  • Thanks!

  • it died

    :(

  • No it didn't. We got it back out into the water and it lived! :)

  • man that turtle is HUGE!!!!

  • MAY swift tides carry him/her along to mother earth to continue the circle.....
