  • What would happen if a ship that collapsed at 11 degrees suffered in a head on collision?. I think what happened is that Murdoch panicked & ordered the ship hard-a-port, attempted to correct the error, the ship's side & bottom graze the berg, Ismay influences the ship slow ahead for 10 minutes, thus Morgan Roberson's prediction was proved right.

  • The Titanic would had make it to New York if the ship hit the iceberg not on her side but head on.

    yes, but the ship turns to port. Remember, the wheel is spun opposite the direction one wants the ship to turn. Therefor "hard to Starboard" means turn the wheel to starboard, which in turn, turns the ship to port.
