A good friend of mine since childhood had real progressive parents. When we were in High School in the early 70's his mom and dad built an electric car from a kit. It had a vintage MG sportscar body (fiberglass) and two very heavy banks of standard truck batteries. They would charge it in their garage and take it for "Sunday Drives". At the time I thought they might be on to something IF gasoline wasn't so cheap (49 cents a gallon in 1972). Same issue today with "cheap gas" available...
'Limited-vehicle'; YOUR 'Yank-Tank' requires dead-&-injured troops & foreigners. Dubya's-stooge Kazai rubber-stamped Pakistan oil-pipeline.
Doubling 'gas-prices' in-line-with the-UK will 'correct' obsolete-technology vehicle-prices.
