Paul was a failure...he got arrested on his "grand ride" and was released but the British confiscated his horse (showing how worthless they thought him), it was largely due to his actions that the Americans lost so catasrophicly at fort George.
AT LEAST 15 riders were sent out and DID NOT call out "The Regulars(or Redcoats) are coming" since there were many 'Royalist supporters on their routes"
I suggest anyone interested in FACT should go and study REAL historical accounts not the ones made up after the poem.
Paul Revere was an idiot and a COWARD and was dismissed from the Army - only escaping courts Marshall for cowardice for political and financial reasons.
@SquireDonCristobal You may or may not be right but one thing for sure is you are not going to change peoples perception that Paul Revere was an American hero.
Visit an Appleseed event near you to learn more about the beginning of the Revolutionary War. If you like books, also try Paul Revere's Ride by David Hackett Fisher.
A much more interesting book was Paul Revere's Ride by David Fischer. Not only did Revere have to elude the British ship but had to start from another ship, row very quietly by muffling the oars of the boat, reach the shore with sentries around, then ride horseback.
@brisco42 I agree..halfway. "Washington's Crossing" ALSO by David Fischer is as important: Christmas Eve, his men starving and enlistments for the Continental Army to end the day after, Washington came up with the last card to play. Either cross the Delaware, QUIETLY with an ENTIRE ARMY at night time, in the freezing cold or they all die..

yawn in learining about him in class we even hav to learn a stupid poem and this ~clip~ is totally nothing like dis stupid crap i mean come on im smarter than a "clip" yay!
As much as Im interested in checking out this video the fact that its based on the poem tells me, like the poem, its a fictional glorification of the wrong man. Paul Revere only rode 15 miles that night before he was captured. Israel Bissell rode 300 miles
Yep, And Bissell sure did alot with all of the towns he warned. If it wasn't for Paul we wouldn't have a "Shot Heard Round the World", The Concord North Bridge, Pickets Revenge, Merriams Corner, The Foster House. But in your head we sould praise Bissell more because he galloped on his horse for longer, and Warned a bunch of people that didn't do anything that day. Makes sense.
Hey, where can you see the full video?

But for the poem he'd be UNKNOWN.

Smart ? Apparently not. Your grammar is dispicable.

Grammar is only one minute function of intelligence; hardly a means for judging whether someone is smart.
