rarely a performer/musician comes along that has the power to take you completely away and into his world...Sir Paul McCartney does this to me. and then to think that my beloved John Lennon was also in the same group is like someone winning the lottery out of 8 billion people! what were the chances that 2 people in the same rock band would both possess that caliber of giftedness or raw talent?...
just came back from beatlefest and never hearing this song before and seeing denny laine and denny siewell play it together it was amazing and is one of my new favorite songs of all time
I still love Paul's first few albums the best ! "McCartney", "RAM", even "WILDLIFE" contains good melodic songs ! They have a charm of their own, and his 'laid back' approach to recording them, just adds to the Magic !
I believe me can't be wrong if I just hope he can remember this beautiful love hymn once again and he can make it to México City when Sir Paul comes to play just here by the end of this month of May 2010!!! Te adoramos, Paul, gracias por tu música en Ram con Linda a la Ciudad de México y te esperamos, maestro!!!
What pisses me off is when they slag Paul off they mention "Bip Bop" "Goodnight Tonight" or "Freedom" but don't touch St. John who left us with "Cleanup Time" "Freda People" or "The Luck Of The Irish". Anyone who talks shit about Paul and DOESN'T own "RAM" is a twat.
This song drove John crazy as I remember. Actually, the whole "Ram" album. His "Imagine" album came out with that postcard of John holding a pig. These guys were so competitive at that time. I think they drove each other crazy !!
Paul is fantastic!! Paul has a body of work that no one will ever come close to as far as many hits the diversity of the sound from one album to the next and the longevity of the music. His sound whether with the Beatls (my favorite band) or after is pretty much timeless and not dated at all. So quirky and surreal, energetic and unique, just so damn different then everyone else. I sincerly adore that man.
Monkberry Moon Delight..Magneto and Titanium Man...Venus and Mars...etc
Have to agree with you. When I listen to much of the output of the 80's for example, it has 80's written all over it. But when you listen to post -1965 Beatles stuff and McCartney's solo stuff, it is, as you say, timeless. Suffice to say that many young people are fans of the Beatles and their solo work. How many other artists can expect that their music will still be around after 40+ years?
paul mccartney is just brilliant...a talent like this is just unique...there will never be a singer, composer and man like him in a thousand years...i truly adore him and "the backseat of my car" is probably the best song, i've ever heard...wonderful
Esta canción es de la época beatle pero publicada posteriormente por paul, creo que es de la época de srg. peper.Hay tomas en las que paul toca el piano y canta esta melodía
They were not wrong.

This is mccartney at his best. Not a well known number to say the least....but absolutely flawless in its presentation...

Nice car collection - those Americans where a bit disturbed in the 50's ... but very inventive in terms of design !

With all due respect TINML,
"Cleanup Time" and "Freda People" are much better than ANY of those 3 Paul songs you mentioned.
