Yes the computer that is streaming has to be ON. The program is nice, automatically downloads lyrics and album info. BUT, the quality is poor, the bitrate is 80-90 kbps. Good if you have and edge iphone, 3G users should look to ORB.

the computer you're streaming from doesn't have to be turned on, does it? does it stream anytime you want? It sounds too good to be true. are there any negatives with simplify?
