@greengimp i just did this mission and timed myself, took me 10 minutes and about 40 seconds in a cruise CNR... your golem needs to be faster than 10 minutes, definitely.
@iquitsmokingwithtrbo why? the golem is not a faster pure dps boat than the CNR, the golem is a better isk/hour boat because it loot/salvages as you go, the CNR is going to be as fast or slightly faster on most missions.
@greengimp you're joking, right? :) i get almost double the DPS on my Golem (~1000 w/out drones) versus the 630 on the CNR, and that's with faction torps, not the T2 ones (1100+ with rage torps). I just bought my Golem today, as soon as I get the damsel mission i'll let you know what my time is. That being said, I bet you anything i will not go past 8 minutes, especially since all ships spawn closely.
@iquitsmokingwithtrbo ok, just did my FIRST damsel in the golem. Did it in 11:18. My strategy was to use rage torps for battleships and faction torps for everything else, I lost quite a bit of time changing from one type to the other. Next time I'll use faction on all ships. Also was a bit clumsy, since this is my first day with the Golem, still adapting to it. My torp/missile skills aren't perfect either (also only Marauder 2, helps TP), so in time I'm sure I can get it down to under 10 minutes
I'm not sure how well it works here, but on my raven (dont have the skills yet for a golem :S) I have salvage / tractor set in hi-slot 5 and 6 and changed my f5-f8 to alt-q through alt-r. Thinking it might be easier to do that here then constantly click the TP's?
my t2 fitted nighthawk does this in about the same time. And it costs about 3.5billion isk less... and requires far less effort. I just sit still and press f1 and then go make coffee.
The difference is that the NH is not going to do it this fast, it will take 2-3 minutes more which is close but still 20-30% longer and then you are going to have to come back in a dedicated salvager/hauler to collect loot/salvage while i'll starting my next mission because i've done all the loot/salvaging while killing.
on mission reports it says killing kruul in one volley stops spawn one, i just did it and almost lost a nightmare due to omnni tank meaning not so grand resists and the bs's sclosed before i could kill all of them
This is true and not true, i have found that one volleying krull to stop the spawn only works with missile boats for some reason, when running in a friends vargur i 1 volleyed him and still got the spawn. The best thing is to just save krull for last and then deal with that spawn on it's own. It is not worth skipping the spawn imo because that is 6 BS's you are missing out on. This part occurs at 2:22 of the vid.
