Wie gesagt,ich kann dir zu 1000 % den Acer empfehlen,trotz das er etwas schwerer ist. Dafür hält der Akku ewig ;) Am Ende musst du entscheiden was du kaufen tust.

Du hast doch eine Tasche/Rucksack oder? ^^ Also wenn ich den Laptop mit auf Geschäftsreise nehme,stört es mich nicht (Ich habe den ganz Großen Acer 2671687Wikk). Du musst das auch so sehen: er hat einen größeren Akku,der schon mehr wiegen tut ;)

Er ist 3,3 kg schwer...da ich ihn mit in die Schule nahmen will weiß ich nich ob der da so gut ist. Hast du da Erfahrungen?

Also aus Metall ist er nicht-Alu- (was auch gut so ist wegen Stabilität und so schwer ist er eigentlich gar nicht. Und die Tastatur ist wie bei jedem anderem Laptop...und sie ist beleuchtet.

Wenn du etwas richtig gutes haben möchtest,dann solltest du etwas mehr ausgeben! Du bist am Ende nichts gebessertes wenn der Laptop die Leistung nicht unterstützt,die Programme benötigen und musst ihn aufrüsten,was dann mehr Geld kostet wie der teure i7.

Doch,das ist wichtig! Denn irgendwann,wenn du was darauf Installierst;wirst du merken das der Laptop langsamer wird.Das passiert dir mit 16Gb nicht so schnell.Also für 700 € würde ich kein Laptop kaufen,weil wenn man jetzt angenommen die neuen Spiele o ähnliches Installieren möchte,merkt man das das dann nicht reichen wird und so hast du erst einmal für eine weile ausgesorgt. Tue dir selber einen Gefallen und lege noch etwas drauf...dann bist du auf der sicheren Seite und machst nichts verkehrt!

So wichtig ist der arbeitsspeicher doch gar nicht! ...ich hab gelesen 4gb würden völlig reichen! Und 8gb sind nur für filmschneider und hd downloads sinnvoll....stimmt das?

Nun musst du entscheiden was dir wichtiger ist ;) Ich kann dir aber den Acer Aspire Ethos am meisten empfehlen weil: Intel Core i7 Quad-Core (die anderen Modelle haben nur Dual-Core)--2,2GHz (kann man ab Werk aus übertakten auf 3,1GHz)--16Gb Arbeitsspeicher (das ist sehr gut)--750Gb Festplatte--Blu Ray Brenner und Leser--1280*800 Pixel (sehr gut)--7 Stunden Akkulaufzeit--dafür wiegt er 0,7 Kg mehr...eindeutig besser+schneller ;)

Lenovo Vorteile: 0,1Ghz mehr (eigentlich egal)--4Gb mehr Arbeitsspeicher (sehr Wichtig)--150Gb größere Festplatte(750Gb). Lenovo Nachteile: schlechtere Display Aflösung (1366*768 Pixel)--ein normales DVD Laufwerk

Asus Vorteile: Bessere Display Auflösung (1600*900 Pixel)--Blu Ray Laufwerk. Asus Nachteile: 4Gb weniger Arbeitsspeicher (ausreichend aber 8 sind deutlich besser)--kleinere Festplatte (500Gb)(müsste trotzdem reichen)...

Der Acer ist auch dem Asus überlegen. Das schreiben geht mit dem Acer richtig Top. Für die Schule ist er schon fast zu gut ^^ Was du allerdings haben solltest ist eine Bluetooth Maus,da sich das Scrollen bei Laptops immer als schwierig erwiesen hat. Da habe ich derzeit die Logitech Anywhere MX,da sie sehr komfortabel ist und auf allen Oberflächen funktioniert. Ich nutze die Pc Maus immer zu Hause auf mein Glastisch oder ähnlichem + man kann sich für unterwegs wieder das Mousepat sparen ;)

Kein Problem...ich habe mir den Lenovo angeschaut. Der Acer ist dennoch etwas besser! Das Display ist eigentlich richtig gut finde ich. Ich kann dir versprechen das der Acer keine falsche Wahl ist! Falls du ihn dir holen solltest kannst du mir ja Feedback geben wie du ihn so findest ;) Viel Spaß damit.

Hi,der ist auch voll in Ordnung.Du kannst ihn jetzt nicht mit dem 8951G vergleichen aber er ist dennoch schnell,hat eine gute Grafik und der Akku hält sehr lange im Vergleich zu anderen Laptops.Kann ich dir auch Empfehlen den 5951G.Er braucht maximal 10 Sekunden zum hochfahren (kann auch weniger sein) ... ich hoffe ich konnte dir weiter helfen

@RelytNosliw the GPU goes up to 80°C on full load (GTA IV), and since almost the whole case is made of aluminium everything gets hot, you get burned if you use the keyboard while the GPU and CPU are on full load :D

Just found out that the 2 remaining Memory slots can be found under the Keyboard,... so the behind the back-cover easy accessible, and 2 more difficult to get to, ..but luckily,, there are 4, as said!...

I have the 8951G, the RAM can be maxed out to 4x4GB - 16GB total memory..

--4 GB 2x2GB was alreay installed, so opening up the back I planned on taking out those 2x2GB and place 4x4GB Kingston inside.... The strange thing is.. I could only see 2 RAM memory-slots?... Empty!... So where are the other 2 slots with the 2x2GB of Ram???...

i got a 8930G atm and i had some troubles with it at start heating problems and all

its 2-3 years old now i think and its starting to fall apart. partly probally caus of my bad maintaining it

what im looking for is a gaming laptop in fact, is the 555M decent enoff ?

how is the heating exhaust on this 1 caus the 8930 from my own knowledge IS really bad with it specialy needed to get bios update to slim that down

also the CPU on Q9000 wasnt so awesome can some1 explain

@FrVitoBe What card does your 8930G have?... mne 8920G has an Nvidia 9650M GS, 512mb ddr3 this GT555m 2GB ddr3 is (seeing benchmarks) between 250% - 280% better, so for mine (one series older than yours) its a BIG step up... --I haven't had any heating problems with mine almost 4 years old now... The 8951-5951 is a totally different internal design from both our models,... so I guess --think-- this one is at least better.. ordered one so give you an update when arrives...

@FrVitoBe ....the GT555m for gaming, is great for it's class, it all depends on what gaming/games you want to do/play.

I haven't any experience with the Q9000, but the i7-2630QM in this new ethos series is Way! better!! especially also with gaming. ...From what i've seen Crysis 2 can be played with GT555M & i7-2630QM at 1360x768 in High 34 - 39fps... so considering the specs-price ratio.... it's deffinetly a Great gaming Combo...

@dustyOn3 Its actually a deceptively powerful GPU. People around the forums who use this same GPU in their notebook (Dell XPS 17) are getting great gaming performance. It also is a pretty overclock friendly card. There are people who have really pushed it to its limits and it still runs well.

Go and look, the people who are using this card in the XPS 17 are getting 3DMark 11 scores of over 1700. Thats about in the same neighborhood of a GTX 460 card. @dustyOn3 The only cards right not that can run these games at or near full is the GTX 470+ and the ATI 6850+. Of course the kings for both are the ATI 6970 and the GTX 485. Nvidia's high end 500 series cards are not out yet.

@Illmatic662: I know but it's just a fact that NBK's aren't made for gaming (the most aren't). If you want to play games in Full HD you have to build your own tower with balanced components. If you need an All-In-One and mobile System you have to buy an good NBK and the 5951G / 8951G Series are great. Case closed.

@dustyOn3 I think that era is over now. Sure in 2008 you could have made that argument, but now in 2011 notebooks actually can be used to game, and last for years. I got my first notebook in 2001 and never looked back. I have built dekstops as well but their is something awesome about the size, compactness, and power of laptops.
