What I love the most about her dancing is that it seems so natural and easy, but you need a lot af practice to reach enough muscle control and flexibility to make the dancing look so easily.

she once asked in a TV interview How does dancing feel?. And she answered I feel very closer to my soul and it feels like a prayer, I don't know what people think of a dancing floor but to me it is like a temple where i feel very closer to god.

@Dorlitz There are lots of this genera of music on :Exotic Oriental Belly Dancing. By Various Artists. Published By World Music. Also Look through Music by Farid El Attras. He wrote a lot of music for her & she danced to a lot of his music as he was one of he husbands. HTH.

This is a clip from the DVD called Legens Of Belly Dance.The date at the bottom of the clip is 1944. If that date is correct it would make her 24 years old at the time of the Clip.

i love to watch taheya carioca, samia gamal, katy(i affectionately refer to her as "the little fireball")suheir zaki, naima akef, and naemet mokhtar. these are my favorites because all are graceful, beautiful and elegant dancers...very feminine and delicate with moves that seem to flow naturally, and they wear the most beautiful costumes i've EVER seen. these women are masters of their art and that makes them "classy sexy". each one is the total package...they lack NOTHING!!!

Im a big fan of Samia Gamal. This is the first time Ive seen Tahia and believe that she actually has more technique than Samia - I guess Samia is just downright a more dazzling presence on the screen. I love both of them now.
