@CrazyV1de0s Well yes, its not the guitar that makes the tone, its the player. You would have to do something like filling up the f holles because they will feedback a lot when driven. And these guitars really sound good for hard rocking tones. Lot of the rock guy use hollow body's. Not convinced? Search up Ted Nugent, he plays hollow body's.
The original late 50's Gretsch 6120's with Filtertrons are the HOLY GRAIL of electric guitars. The Japanese re-issues are technically built better, but don't sound as awesome, although they do sound pretty damn good. Also, they cost literally a fraction as much as the vintage ones.
I didn't think it was as good as the Gibson 175 or E 335 for jazz. It could be the amp as well. It did have a good country and a blues and rockabilly sound. Nice guitar
if i get a gretch ...can i play death metal on it

anybody know what model that 6120 was? He said it was a professional model and that it was a nashville but which one? Chet Atkins I'm guessing?

Great guitar. Nice playing and demo. You sound like Brian Setzer when you did that first rockabillish part. I like the jazz part too.
