I like the NPR Prairie Home Companion version with Chet and Leo. That one is boss. I have been critiquing the Beck version in GW. Eh. It is OK, but I am not into using a Stratocaster, but will have my Custom LP Std with a Kahler refretted and refurbished soon. That one will sound rich and beautiful as can be. After 30 years it has yet to disappoint me. Chet did a great cover of this, and many others. His Walk don't Run is cool too.
Well, (I'm embarrassed to say), speaking not trying to be a cookie cut-clone, I attempted to do a version myself. I can't say I got it right, but if your curious, it's on my MySpace player.

@JoeyJoelBand How do I upload my stuff to YT and MySpace? My video camera is a cheap point and shoot with dismally bad sound. I still use a 4 track 3 back to 1+3or4 more on a Teac synchronized 4 track. My mix down died, so I an stuck doing this and mixing to digital. I have steel guitars, and just got a Sr800 bass that sounds incredible through my tube bass amps. Guitars I have LP stds, ES 330 and an Elitist 335, misc modded others & a D-28/32.,H-Bird,LG0, J45, etc, but used an Iceman on this.
The only version apart from the real one santo & johnny that is any good; it holds a great mood. You also notice that it is not afraid not to sound like a cheap note for note copy of the oridganal sleepwalk as so many others do.
I had a feeling that somone somewhere would do a good version I should have known itcould only come from Chet.

Gotta love Chet - long may he wave.
Look for Chet and Leo Kottke playing Sleepwalk together - and dig Chet retuning all six strings before they start to play.

No mistaking Chet Atkins' crisp notes in his version of "Sleepwalk". Thanks for adding this to the "Sleepwalk" collection on You Tube.
