i think that they have LOTS of songs to turn into acoustics, but this one, i think was a crime...it simply sounds ackward, although the chorus sounds good, but the rappin verses just awful
Wowo, the crowd is just so great. No wonder Incubus continues. Only real fans apperciate how much effort and love these guys put in their music and all the more in their live performances.
i agree chill421. i was there about 6 feet from the stage. even though i love to see em rock (science is my favorite album), the acoustic versions did rock. pardon me was awesome.
you just dont get it man, that was done because it was such a small venue. All the acoustic stuff was perfect for it. And I'm just happy they are playing verstions of NewSkin And Redefined. I love the acoustic and remixed versions. They still get their rock on Vitamin.
I get it, they're playing way to much fluff. The size of the venue is irrelevant. They've played hard songs in small venues before. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing them rock out hard to one of these older songs in a more intimate venue, but that didnt happen. Still good shows, but not what I would have preferred. Do an all acoustic tour if they're gonna pull this stuff.
early on, there were serious talks of an acoustic tour, and I think that evolved into the 'theatre tour' concept, with some acoustic stuff. Don't get me wrong, I wouldve loved to have seen them going crazy on vitamin, or pulled Deep Inside out of their bag-0-tricks. But I think its about mikey's hand. He had carpel tunnel surgery, and it just started bothering him alot towards the mid/end of the theatre tour.
That theatre show was still amazing, top 2 or 3 incubus show I've seen.
Yeah, I remember the acoustic tour talk from the Incubus Online View forum (are you a member?) & I was hoping to god it would happen, but it never came true. Steve (their manager) was even on there seeing what we all thought. *sigh* Maybe someday.
I am on Inc.OnlineView, I pop up on the message boards from time to time, under the same name.
I will always hold out hope they'll do a full on full set acoustic tour. at least 25/35 shows in the US. The beauty in their acoustics...it just deserves more it gets. Dammit.
seriously man... but if you think about it incubus is one of the only bands u'd allow to change their sound. i dun think any other band would get away with so many rough songs they turn into acustics.
Sure there is still rock left, different rock. But New Skin's normal version is so much more ace. Ben Kenney should learn to play the older songs, they need to play them more often. During the Hiatus he has more than enough time. I ain't saying he's bad tho.
a year from when this comment was left, i can say that on the most recent tour, they played redefine, vitamin, and a certain shade of green, and Ben covered them great, slap and all. i peed myself when i heard it
i was in cleveland and all they played from science was certain shade of green-- thank God not the acoustic one....this would have been really good, and vitamin would have been incredible.
@adamndubz i just want the funk back...even not the distortion or anything...JUST THE FUNK...and there old sound back would b nice too =D

They never played Vitamin this tour. They did play the original New Skin a few times, and Ben killed it indeed.
