How come I don't have "Modeling" menu ?? I can't find extrude face. I'm using Maya2009 Please help !

Dear u may be using any of the latest versions of maya. Try "Polygon" Instead of Modeling... (modeling is renamed as Polygon in latest versions ).
and there in mesh or edit mesh i think u will find extrude
