  • hi adam ramsey i was flying a glider over burn at the begining of may 2011 when u flew over i tipped my wings and you signalled back was this you or another crew.

  • Imagine going all the way down to the "Malvinas" [sic] to bomb the runway. Very impressive stamina.

  • Thanks for sharing this. It made my day!

  • crap camera angle!

  • Because the ambient noise is quite loud. Because we might get fumes from the air conditioning and therefore the engine oil system up our snouts. Because Martin is really ugly normally!! Bet your small bibby the seats work!!

  • Great video! Why are the pilots wearing masks for such low-altitude maneuvers? The masks seem cumbersome and distracting. I assume that the ejector seats are disabled. Smoke precaution? Or is the ambient cockpit noise too great for ordinary mikes?

  • @awuma I got to go on a few ride-alongs on my B-52 as Crew Chief and the pilots always prefered that crew members use their mask....like you said....because of the ambient noise. B-52 was very lacking on creature comforts. I remember one junior navigator using his A1C's and the pilots getting on him to get into his mask and helmet because of the noise.

  • @awuma Also helmet and mask were required by US Air Force during low level flight, and take-off and landing, in aircraft so equipped. For two reasons, in case of the need to eject and for bird strike protection.

  • Fantastic! Thanks for sharing

  • Great!!!

  • Legal ver como se trabalha num cockpit de um Vulcan.

    Excellent.

  • Looks like there's a nuclear blast outside the windows... I thought the Vulcan had visors for that sort of thing...

  • Very nice video. Fascinating to see the cockpit operation.

  • Absolutely great !! Lets hope the half a million needed to keep her flying soon comes in !! Hand in pocket time Mr Cameron please.

  • You lucky guys!!

  • Fantastic, thanks very much for doing this for all us wannabes.

  • WORLD CLASS

  • the 1st one is a grob tutor

  • Fabulous,is the only word to describe this, Keep these clips coming, but please,NO music other than the engines ohhhh that howl !!!!

  • great video but are they mute lets here the chat,it's like they

have fallen out !!!!!. it is great to see her in the air and the howl from the Olympus engines

  • Great vid guys, keep them coming. Be great to hear the coms too, pleeeeeze?

  • awesome!! more please

  • OMG! This is so fantastic. Thank you for taking us inside the cockpit! Just brilliant!

  • Great video that, as others have said they make it look so easy! Love the fact that we can hear 'the howl' from inside the cock pit too!

  • This was just a first test with the GoPro Hero to see how well the video would come out, hopefully more videos to come so long as enough money keeps coming in to keep the Vulcan flying :)

  • Excellent stuff - more of the same please!

Helmet cams would be good - but definitely NO music required. What could possibly be better than the sound of those Olympus engines?!?

  • @CaptOReilly

Most of the noise is from the TRUs

  • Excellent job ! perhaps `helmet cams` so we see what the pilots see would be an added bonus. As for background music, well those four Olympus engines` singing their hearts out is music to my ears : )

  • Looks like they might need booster seats to see out above the "shabby chic" instrument panel ha ha.....but great to see the guys at work and making it look so easy (guessing it isn't!!!) More of this please. Also siding with the "No Music" contingent!!!! : )

  • Amazing, looks like they're hardly doing anything compared to how it looks from the ground!

  • Excellent! I look forward to seeing more onboard video in the future - and to seeing XH558 (again) at Shoreham later this month.

  • Fantastic stuff, which is about as close as any of us are ever likely to get to the cockpit of a Vulcan in flight. No need for any backing music for such a relatively short clip, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to hear the crew chatter as well? Keep up the great work and well done and thanks to you all.

  • absolutely fascinating stuff and agree other cameras could perhaps be used to put together a comprehensive view of a sortie. Disagree about ANY music other than that of 4 Olympus engines doing their job.

  • Fantastic !! Dont they make it look so easy and effortless. True proffesionals

  • Brilliant!!!!!

  • I agree, more cameras to show the rest of the outside world from inside.

  • I know they're professionals – it's their job and all that – but how COOL are these guys?

Let's have much more of this stuff, please - more cameras: downstairs, on the tail, in the bomb bay (for when the doors open), on the nosewheel etc. It can all be edited together (with a nice bit of library music) to make a fabulous display video - which could be shown in the merchandising tent and sold for lots of lovely cash!

    Excellent!

  • @antonbukowski yeah bomb bay cam as the doors open would be a great idea! but NO music please!

  • That is absoloutely brilliant.....Its such a treat to see what was happening in the cockpit whilst the many hundreds of thousands of people were stood in awe below! and also demonstrates just how good Martin and the crew are.....
