theres just too much quality in chiptune. and we should not forget that these are 80`s.. people percieved melodies much better than today if u ask me...
@ZombieToaster i suggest you go to hvsc and dload a zip pack of all songs ever, dload a sp2w chiptune player. i heard some tunes which were not intended for games. people like factor6 or josstintimberlake kick ass. i mean if you re into it anyways..

@saxandviolins2 yeah.. you can just speed it up to 4 times and thats it.. if i like the song i convert it to wav or mp3 and listen to it in the winamp.. as far as artists go you can never go wrong with classic dudes like hubbard, matt gray, richard joseph,russel lieblich etc.

I would like to see a list of great C64 tunes which are usually not mentioned on this kind of list :-) Combing through HSVC is a pain.
