It took me a while to naturally peel two cards off at once. I found it was all about the speed I moved the cards and the grip I had. Once you find that sweet spot, its not that hard really.

The elmsley count never works for me! I try it at least ten times a day and it never works! Put more depth on how to hold the cards properly! I always flash!

@JonathonMcStrudel Dont do 10 times per day, sit down for at least 20 mins each day practising, you can do it on the bus, during ads on tv, in bed at night, anywhere really.

I saw a lot of your videos with Elmsley Count, and for more times I look at it, it allways seems 3 cards to me and not 4 as you count

@davyou9 yeah it does kind of look obvious... I notice something strange going on too. except the thing is that you do it fairly fast in front of people, and usually even if they do feel something suspicious about the count, they usually let it go

i found out that to to the Elmsley Count you need to just hold the cards very lightly and it becomes natural

i think one good way to think about peeling of x amount of cards (depends on the trick) would be to maybe not think of it as pushing off the whole pack but as pulling away the last card and putting the first card behind it

you pull the top card away... after that you have to push the "whole pack" (all cards except the last) to the side and while taking it you have to replace the first card you pulled under the last card in your right hand

To peel off two cards, u need to ensure you have a decent quality pack. I can't do it on cheap cards. It is easier to slide off 2/3 cards at a time if you do so whilst putting the top card on the bottom, that way, you just have to hold on to the bottom card with your fingers and use your thumb to slide two cards a little way. Then pick up the two overhanging cards and put them on the bottom. it comes very naturally after a bit of practice

The Ascansio Spread seems very simple, i got it down in about 3 minutes (have to work on speed). I can't seem to get the elmsley count though, having trouble peeling off the 2 cards together (after removing the first).

it helps if you have the bottom card sticking out just a little. That way it's easier to push the top two cards and make it look like one.

It's a card movement trick using the thumb that is holding the "deck" to push two or more cards while making the thumb or other finger on your free hand look like it's moving just the one card on top. Once you have made a clean grab (not showing all the pushed cards) of the pushed cards with your free hand and moved them to the bottom, the illusion is over.
