10-20 let's say u choose 10 he puts the first 10 cards down, the Jack being the 9th, 1+0=1 so u go back 1 card thale next being the Jack. 12, 1+2 go back 3 leaving the Jack as the next. It's nice till they catch on that it's the ninth card.

It's not a trick, it's just a way to force card. Read the title of the video.

Place the " force " card on the 9th position from the top. Then ask the spectator to choose a number from 10-20. For example, they pick 15. So, it's 1+5 = 6. Count 6 cards down from Right to Left after you've dealt the cards from Left to Right by counting 15 cards. The 9th position will be the force card that the spectator will get even if they choose any number from 10-20.

thats the whole idea of card forcing, you have to know what the force card is before you start, so that the spectator will receive the card that u want them to. So just see what the card is before forcing it ;)

to those who are confused, the black card is supposed to show you how the trick works. The stuff he does before the black deck is basically nothing. The important thing is that any number u pick between 10-20, the digits will add up to a number which will lead to the ninth card (or force card)

The forced card is the ninth card from the top. Regardless of what number one chooses between 10 and 20, the result will alwaysbe the ninth card (example: the two fo hearts is the ninth card from the top. Someone chooses 14, so 14 cards go down, with the top card being on the bottom of the new pile. When 1 and 4 are added together, the result will always lead to the forced card).

I think the idea is you know the ninth card down and you ask them to pick a number between 10 and 20. you lay down the amount of cards they say and then add the two digits together and take away that many cards. that way it always leaves the ninth card on top. because if they say 11 then 1+1=2 so you take to cards so nine is on top. and that works with whatever number they say

For those wondering the purpose of a force card, it is to make the spec pick the card you want. example is you carry two 3 of clubs, take one 3 and hide it in their wallet on a previous trick. Later on in the show, follow up with the 3 of club force, vanish the card and it appears in their wallet or various other transpositions and even revelations such as (I believe Wayne Houchin's) ash in arm revelation where their selected card appears on your arm after rubbing ash on it.
