@iHeartApple98 Hey :) We have a summer cut for Baltazaar (the wolfy-looking one) so he's a charm to take care of; the black one (King) is always easy to groom because of the type of fur he has. I don't use any of those tools! Just normal combs and brushes. Thanks!
well i love pomeranians i also have on all black named scrapy well i think you should type this in on youtube it will help you a whole bunched it helped me when ii first goto my 11 month old pommerainian he is almost a year old 1 more month well try this out and tell me how it went
All you need is the comb and slicker brush(the one with the wires)you need to brush and comb every other day to remove dead coat and any snarls that may start before they become mats. The nails can be clipped a little at a time a dremel is easier and smoother a finish. ONLY a vet should scale teeth, but you should brush they're teeth everyday just like us but use a dog toothbrush and paste its made for them. You should have no trouble they look like they have been well cared for. God bless
The smaller breeds have issues with dental problems so the dental tool is for removing tarter bulid up. Use the bigger side to scrap tarter starting from the gum line down and the smaller side is for between the teeth. It's not the easiest thing to do but if you don't, your vet will have to put your dog under to clean the teeth and it can cost $70 plus to get this done. The slicker brush is for de-shedding and de-matting. The steel comb is for de-matting and combing.
I think this video will be helpful to you...Pet Grooming with Diana - #1 Pomeranian. She uses some of the same tools you have and she has good tips on how to use them.
I own 3 Poms myself & know it can become expensive having them groomed, but worth it. I simply wanted to share the importance of having them groomed including nails trimmed & teeth cleaned. The nails once long enough can get caught in carpet or upholstery(ouch!). Their teeth can have tartar build up which can lead to serious infection. So to promote good health for these little guys, please upkeep their grooming as best you can. After all, they deserve it!
We can spring for a 2x year professional grooming but other than that, it's up to me. They love being brushed so I am very lucky there. They even stand very patiently for me when I am doing some shaping/trimming. I am spooked to do the nails again since the little guy had a bleeder :( Broke my heart! I am going to go in with the tooth cleaning device because I agree it is very important. I'll be super careful because I can see the damage one wrong move could cause. Thanks very much, Salleon!
Shears - To cut the hair again unless you know what you're doing then there is no point having them inless you want to do some light trimming
Nail clippers - For what else nail clipping I'd advise on only clipping a little bit off till you see a little black dot in the nail and if it starts bleeding uses cornstarch or buy quick stop (Stiptic powder not sure if the spellings right)
Never heard of the paw stuff. What I would suggest is going to a groomer even to ask for help
In in the U.S so I can only tell you what they are called here (sorry!). The scissors with the "teeth" are called "thinning shears"-personally I don't even bother with them on my dogs. The "fricker" brush is refered to as a "slicker" brush here. Dremmeling the nails is fine for poms but you have to be careful not to get the fur caught-some people recommend using a womans stocking or pantyhose, placing the foot through and cutting a small enough hole for the nails to come through.
Hello-I'm trying to make my first video to show you how to use the things but my batteries keep dying so I'm charging them :P lol. I don't have the tooth scraper or the pad cream, but I have everything else to show you. You use the tooth scraper to chip away tartar and afterwards use a mouth astringent from the vet. As for the pad cream, you don't want your dogs pads to be soft, but you don't want them to crack either. So if the pads are cracking apply it. I may get my video on here soon. :)
Just watched your video.. thank you so much! I grew up with Pekes and I just love them. I believe we had probably six during my life. Ok, re your video.. is it called a "fricker" brush or what? (the green brush) Is it steel fristles like the blue one in my video? I feel far more confident about grooming them now.. really good advice. I never even considered that one should do the brushing/combing really well before bathing.. makes good sense. Your little guy seems very comfortable with it :)
how are they now? :)

I'm a dog groomer and I shall help :D
Ok from Left to right
Brush - personally a waste of money just keep it for yourself :P
Slicker brush - You part hair and brush from the root out
Comb - the thinner end to start (to find any matts) the thicker end to go over
Thinnings shears - They are used to blend the coat but unless you know what you're doing then there is no point having them
More to come...
