Funny you mention that because in Europe many northerners don't consider Spaniards to be white! Yes Dominican republic may have problems with racism but many countries in the world face this problem. Spain is probably one of the most racist countries in Europe. There are entire groups dedicated to inflicting harm to minorities it's quite disgusting. Blacks in the spanish soccer league are called monkeys by the crowd! You will NEVER see this happen in the USA. Spain is quite a backwards country.

Trujillo also massacred his own people and we DO NOT praise him we acknowledge that he was one of our presidents, and the worst one of them all YTD! @mizikAnAyiti Yes u did treat us as slaves. U wanted to make us Haitian when we wanted to be our own island and that is why we separated from the Spanish in 1822. U did NOT unify the whole island; u CONQUERED the whole island and LOST the DR side in 1844. All Dominicans wanted u out whether Mulatto, White, or Black. THere were and still are Black and Mulatto Haitians, so everyone was rebelling agaisnt ALL Haitians. Viva Feb. 27, 1844!!!!!!

If the DR is so Spanish why is Baseball as opposed to football the national sport? The Spanish certainly don't consider y'all as Spanish and I think its time for the bigotry to end.
