I can't really see any difference between vanilla Stalker and this, I have everything maxed out and 1080p resolution at 70fps, but graphicswise, I really don't see it. Kudos to the creators of this mod though, and to the developers of the game.

I have 2 questions:

1. Will this run well on a pc with a dual core 2.8ghz, Nvidia GTS 160 M (1 gig), and 4 gigs ram. Yes it is a gaming laptop and yes I know "for a lot less money you could get a desktop twice as powerful".

2. Do I need the retail version to install complete 2009? Or will it work just as easily on a copy bought off Steam?

Im about to test this mod, does anyone know if this fixes the "rare" yet troublesome, npc load time issues? For some reason npc's will not load on time in SHOC. I'll be running through a building that looks empty then all of a sudden 15 npc's spawn and kill me. its rediculous :(. I'm hoping this mod fixes that issue.

@jmrwacko I KNOW why do people care so much about AA i hardly notice any difference because i dont stick my eyes to the screen :D I NEVER use AA and always deactivate VSYNC as it also ruins my performance and the aiming is awkward with vsync

It's the Anti-Aliasing they used. The game isn't designed to support it, so when it's used the framerate drops like a rock (the performance is cut by half per every 2xAA adjustment, to be exact). Turn off AA and you get 60-80 fps on GTX 280.

Retard... In this game, graphics makes all the difference because graphics make the atmosphere... The gunplay in S.T.A.L.K.E.R isn't exactly impressive, the animations on monsters are laughable... BUT the graphics when used correctly (as in Complete 2009) makes it just as atmospheric as it should have been. Yes, gameplay is more important than graphics but graphics are none the less important in some games, especially so with this one.

i agree that it looks bad on the developer, but calling dx10/11 "crap" really isnt fair.

For the most part nothing is wrong with dx9, but dx10 and 11 are superior, as long as it is done properly.

@NeoXF I'm playing this mod in static lighting (which is DX9) and it's awesome. It's no dynamic lighting, but more than enough to enjoy the atmosphere of the game, and simply what people responsible for this mod did is truly a work of art. It just goes to show that you don't have to use DX10/DX11 or whatever to create a rich and involving environment.

This mod made me play the "normal version" of stalker again...i totaly love OL but it fucks up some parts of the story such as the meetings with doctor (at least that happend to me a few times) but now i saw that beautiful looking SoC just looking like ClearSky and yeah its pretty awesome and you can get the ExoSkeleton from Barman why is a good change as well as finding the FN2000 in a statch in the Red Forst....Ive never seen better rain and sunraise great 10/10.

no SoC dont suppoert dx10, only clear sky and call of pripyat will support dx 10, maybe you have to set all settings to maximum and resolution to maximum.And go to the readme, there ist described how to enable sun shafts (god rays)

that is included at the skygraphs mod, only with FULL dynamic lightening on the shafts will come.

It works perfectly under WINE with Ubuntu Linux. I doubt it would be less stable under the operating system it was originally written for!

Das Video wurde in 1.280 x 720 mit 4x MSAA erstellt. Bedingt durch den Leistungshunger und Fraps, welches das Video aufzeichnet, ruckelte es teils und die Fps sackten hin und wieder unter 20. Ohne Fraps läufts in kleineren Auflösungen ziemlich rund, ohne MSAA sogar butterweich.
